Default Awesome article!

I just got done linking this article on the ZR1.net, but am also doing it here for other traffic potential.

The article is a few years old, but is a great short history on the ZR-1. The true worth of the article is found as you get into the article and is starts on C4 Corvette history.

Enjoy!

…."MerCruiser was tooling up in earnest for the new job, even creating new machinery; project manager Terry Stinson designed a $750,000 camshaft boring machine. The LT5 cylinder head and cam cover had to be finished as a single unit, making it impossible to support boring tools inside them. His new rig could drill the near- three-foot-long, inch-wide tunnels to within 0.001 in tolerances."....

No problem! Just a fyi, I think Terry Stinson's boring machine earned him a prestigious SAE engineering award for 1989.

Finally an article by someone who “gets it”. Not some condescending piece of garbage.

Yes, I am mainly talking about the story itself. It is inspirational, not the usual 2nd rate stuff.

Speaking of spec sheet, a 0-60 of 5.6 is fast L98 stuff, not LT5 worthy. They must have been pulling a wagon with the power key off.
