Wow! That'd be great, Joe!

Ami and I will be there w/ or cars (and Marc said to me, "Don't come unless you bring THAT desert!" (JK. Chocolate Lasagna...to DIE for!)

If I make it, I won't be bringing" Goldie". I refer to it as Copper, but one of my co-workers nicknamed it "Penny".

Depending on the weather, it will either be my DD or my '12. Good luck on the National Anthem. My son has a basketball tournament this weekend. I will catch his games Saturday so I can have Sunday free.

Pic of custom wheel on one of cars in Heibecks shop. Looks great in person!
Here’s lineup of ZR-1s at Haibeck’s barbeque. Good times!

Okay, so we finally got the hood opened on my car, and Marc worked his magic. Jeff, thanks for the use of the "Gordon Hood Opening Tool", I left it with Marc. Just another opportunity to see the brotherhood at its best. People chipping in to help another ZR-1 owner out.

I'm thankful to be a part of this group!

Yes, we got it fixed, adjusted and lubricated. Then reassembled correctly.

What was wrong or incorrect?

In theory then it was a good thing you drove ‘Penny’

I still love the coves

Evidently the previous owner or mechanic/technician had a problem with the latch before and took it apart. When Marc disassembled the hush panel you could see where the latch had been zip tied and it wasn't seated in the panel correctly. The striker on the driver's side needed to be adjusted outwards. It was taking too much effort for it to release the pin. All working with little to no effort now.
