Anyone think this 95ZR1 is worth $69K?

Not me. There is a red one on ebay that is close to me in Md. It was originally sold at Criswell , Chevrolet. It has like 2200 miles and still has the plastic on the seats and carpet. Plus all the stuff it came with. This car lived a charmed life and it has the usual windshield delamination. My car with 48k has none really. Lived it's life in South Dakota , and Minnesota go figure.
hey look at the old turbo buicks, people are asking 100k for a cars that were 18k new. I sold my old 10 sec buzzin half duzzin for 8k and miss it.
Sold my old super duty 74 TA for 6k too back in the day. Miss that one more as it "went through the roof" and is a 90k car now.
for low mile 95s, they are certainly awesome, but that is asking a way too much. Asking is easy, getting is hard.

Not worth it to me, but somebody may want it. I'd rather much rather have my 100K mile car that has all new paint, low mileage donor interior and new 391 motor that has well less than 1/2 the dollars in it than what's being asked for that car. But then I like driving my car, whereas that one's going to sit in a garage and be a trailer queen for the rest of it's life.

69k 95 zr-1
Okay the issue is you can't drive it. Every mile drives the price down. If you need one for a museum then maybe but your not going to make money on it any time soon. For some reason the market just does not like these great cars. Heck I don't like adding too much mileage to my 90 ZR-1 with under 12K miles and I paid a LOT less. I would suggest finding a nice clean low (20K mileage) car and pay a lot closer to $25-30K, maybe less.
At the end of the day buy what you like and can afford. This way if the market tanks you have a car you like, if it goes up only better.
Joel
PS Tomorrow I'm going to add some more mileage to my 2001 Z06 which rolled 122,222 miles today.

If funds were unlimited damn straight Id drive it!! Its sat long enough
The whole idea is to enjoy a like new "old" car. Pictures are much cheaper.
One day guys will learn Chevys arent investment grade cars in general.
Even the camaros/chevelles dont get big money anymore...wheres the following thats buying them, in nursing homes?

Guys like Peter klutt from legendary motor car needs to start thinking about this in their business plans. 300k for boss 429 mustangs and hemi cuda’s is ridiculous. It’s an artificially inflated market that will be hard pressed to sustain for 10 years .
in the end the c4-zr-1 is far superior and still holds its own against current day c7’s.

I personally live near the seller. He will charge you $1k for a light bulb.....
I honestly do not know how he stays open. I am not saying he does bad work or lies, I have no personal knowledge of his level or work.
But I do know the prices at his shop are astronomical.

I think I’d buy this 1991 with 94 miles for $37,999 before I’d pay an extra $31,000 for the ‘95.

Sells car today for 38,000.....Right off the bat takes a 22,000 dollar hit.....Not toooo bad.....Yet, when you figure inflation, spending 60K for a car in 90, than selling it for 38,000 today, with no enjoyment ( 94 miles) ....Not a good thing..
Its true the C4 generation does not get the respect the other generations do....One of the reasons to me are when you do see them there all basically ratted out....ZR-1 when produced looked too much like the standard C4, honestly,it did......People who are paying double the price for the ZR-1 option want people to notice- hey, that's a ZR-1....
The L-88 when it came out in 67, ended in 69 didn't have that much of a difference in body style....The C-2 didn't have any if I recall ( only made 20) The C-3 edition had that huge hood bulge that differentiated it from the other's, not that much difference from standard C-3's
Thing is, in those generations they didn't need much more of a styling cue than they already had.....
You figure years later in 1990 Chevy would have given the C-4 ZR-1 the same styling that they gave the C4 ZR-1 Spyder,( a car that was not produced for the public, the one that went down in the sink hole)..That design had the right bling,Nicer rims, some body enhancements and so on....When you looked at that particular car you could def. notice the difference right away...
Today, enthusiasts know the ZR-1 and the car today makes an excellent bargain for today's consumer.....Not so much the original owners...

Mines around 530CHP....391? Thing must be a beast.....When you take into account the cockpit feel of a Z with a lot of modified HP it makes for a real fun ride....

I was told years ago that you can never pay too much for a future collector car. However it’s very possible to buy it tooooo early.

Price tag on the ad says $58,000. It's a '95....the most desirable year according to many enthusiasts(?), only 750 miles, injectors have been changed, and the color combo is pretty....red/tan.
That said, $58K sounds crazy high to me. I could understand high 30's, maybe stretch it to $40k to the right guy that HAS to have it. But $58K? No way......assuming we're talking US currency....
