No stock ZR-1 is worth $69k today. That's my opinion.

Well, you can't blame the guy for asking.
Will it sell at that price?
Probably not.

Why wouldn’t a “new” ZR-1 e worth the original MSRP if it is a time capsule car????

i think there is a purple(1 of 25 total production), and an admiral blue(1 of 12 in 95) there as well. Few are dual Dunn heads!

a car is worth what somebody is willing to pay but..... when have you seen cars like these for sale? Ever??

cheers

If you have the money, and it is the exact car you want, who cares if many think it is over priced as long as you, spending the money feel it is right for you. You have to look at what it is, in collect ability, not just buying a car...

How is that any different than paying $80K for a Camaro or Chevelle, or $150K for a street rod?

It just takes the right person, obviously it is a Museum piece, not a driver so the price is irrelevant...

I remember when paying $35K for a Top Flight, '66 427- 425 hp coupe, everyone thought I had lost my mind... No so much anymore.....

At that mileage, it would be probably be purchased for the sole purpose of flipping in who knows how many years at an auction to possibly double the money spent.

I think I’d buy this 1991 with 94 miles for $37,999 before I’d pay an extra $31,000 for the ‘95.

If it’s the car a persons wants and they are financially able, they will spend the money. For some, $69,000 is not a lot of money to spend on a such a car. Personally for me, it’s a significant amount of money. If I were tasked between deciding between this Z and a new C7, I would lean towards a new C7. Having said that, I think it will eventually become more difficult to find cars like this as the years go by. It’s an incredible example of the King of the Hill and the pinnacle of Corvette performance circa 1995.

Not me. There is a red one on ebay that is close to me in Md. It was originally sold at Criswell , Chevrolet. It has like 2200 miles and still has the plastic on the seats and carpet. Plus all the stuff it came with. This car lived a charmed life and it has the usual windshield delamination. My car with 48k has none really. Lived it's life in South Dakota , and Minnesota go figure.

This car is like the stock market! He bought high and if smart will hold to values go up, which i believe will never happen! If you go to a Corvette only car show you will only see C7. The rest of these years are only desirabel to a small market. The C4 are at this point in time are drivers not collectibles! Would you keep a stock which goes down every year and not up?

if you wanted that car when it was new in '95 and could not purchase it then for whatever reason.
here is you chance to buy it. in just about as" new" condition.

yes you could buy yourself a 20,000 or 40,000 miles car for a third of the price
but every aspect of that car would have that kind of wear on it.

have you price out the cost of a real paint job lately.

I go for low mileage original cars

just my opinion

Sure is purdy.... Id pay it if I had it and it was exactly what I wanted.... Id have one of every year in the colors of my choice with that kind of mileage on them if I had the dough.... Just to have.... Then Id have another set 90-95 as drivers.... some with built engines, some not... When money is not an issue, perspective changes.... If I make $500k yr and a savings of a few million.... whats 70 grand?

Something else to consider....

If you have to FINANCE the car, where are you going to find a company willing to finance a 23 year old USED Corvette? (Ran into that problem trying to finance a 91 ZR-1 for under $20K in spite of 20% down against purchase price. Unless you belong to a Credit Union, you might be out of luck!)

I wish that I could sell for that.
I sure would pay for the purple car--but only what I could realistically sell it for. If that makes sense. It wouldn't go anywhere I just couldn't over pay because my earnings/savings aren't what's referenced above.
