I know... "get a tech 1 or 1a..." Yeah. I've gone through ebay, craigslist, google, friends and family... I can't find a tech 1.

Searching Amazon, I found the Actron CP9690 Trilingual OBD I/OBD II Elite AUTOSCANNER Pro Kit. Will this work?

... I know how to short the pins to get the codes through automotive-morse-code. Hoping to get a scanner anyway.

Try it out and see if it works, if it doesn't send it back. Interested to see the results.

I have one of these and a Tech 1 and the phone unit runs diagnostics as well as the Tech 1.

I leave the Tech 1 at home and keep the phone adapter in the car in case I have a problem on the road.

1320 appears to only work on Android. I'll try the Actron unit and report back. Says it will be here tomorrow.
