Plenty of 400hp cars that lack the torque of the lt5....and not even close in the fun to drive dept....resale low because too many kept them with low miles expecting a big payoff

I heard stories of people paying six figures for this car when it came out..Don't know how true that is....
I own a 91 and to me they make nice cars for the price you can pick one up for today....
As far as when new, in my opinion, and I get criticized for this, way over priced when new.....
Didn't really look that much different as compared to the standard C-4....As far as power, heads, cam, exhaust placed on a reg. C-4 and your right there basically with a ZR-1.....
Motor was way complicated to come in with a base of 375-380 HP...
With technology now light years ahead, you can pick up a new 1LZ Z06 for what the price of a 94-95 ZR-1 cost new back then..

Ive known 2 who paid over 100k new
Nobody knows about these cars or cares. Parts? Serviing them?
Good luck! As the owners/enthusiasts die off the prices will dive even more (Cant wait)
Lots of fun for sure but even a C6z is old news

Shame really, as the ZR1's are still a highly sought after car that delivers in every performance category. Now, of course, there are plenty of 400hp cars to choose from, but back when the Z was new, it really was the King of the Hill! Not much out there at its price point that delivered the performance the Z did. Later model years, there were some competitors, but not many. And people rag the 84 Corvette because in today's performance world, the car is mediocre. Back in 84 it was world class and I would not be embarrassed to own one. Would not shy away from a ZR1 wither. Its a dream car I long to own.

I really wouldn't say sought after....Are they good values today if bought well? Yes, they are.....They are fun to drive especially if modded.....
As far as parts? With the internet the way it is today, makes it manageable to get parts.....Jerry's gaskets has basically every part you need for repair and maintenance...
As far as the people paying 100 grand for this car when new? Well it looks like the housing crash of 08 for those owners looking to sell...
