I've actually seen it posted, with regard to operating temps that:
*you'll make less power at a cooler operating temp
*You'll wear out your engine
*You fill your crank case with water
*....among other made-up concerns.


Each of those points, plus more, were all addressed in THIS THREAD that is a great read, with videos, pics and hard data from read dyno tests.

Based on quite a few back to back dyno pulls I've found the car makes best power in the 165-175 range with oil temps up around 200

Emissions likes warmer operating temps, I don't think all of the above fits based on my experiences.

not driving the car is worse than running it at 175

not yet, just got some low mileage cam cahins, heads are on, and finally got a durn job so I can pay for it!!
