No,I can’t. I’m amazed and how much I love this new car and how much I can’t stand the C7. The Internet is flooded with the thing so,why not. Would really like to see the Zeus Bronze up close.

Go for it, what color interior would you get with that bronze?
I'd have to get a blue one if I got one. But I'm waiting for a Z06 or ZR1 version and see what they do.

I'm NOT in the market...yet. But, I do like it very much. And, it is about time, IMO!
Camaros, Moostangs, Deamons, et al with their 750+ hp and modern suspensions have been nipping at the heels of the Corvette for some time: MOST of the C7s lifetime, in fact!
So, it seems obvious that Corvette's place ahead of the pack (mentioned) was to be secure, it had to move to the next level, the point Zora tried to make GM realize decades ago. (But, GM was instead happy to follow...again...and just be content competing with the muscle cars of the time instead of making the real "IN YOUR FACE" move to mid-engine platforms.)
'Proof in the pudding is in the tasting' (as they say). But, I think the groundwork for the new architecture has been pretty well established. Now it's up to GM to work the bugs out of it and resume its former status as a come all giant killer!
I would NOT trade/sell my iconic (90) ZR-1 for a C8. But, I'll be on the edge of my seat to see how it stack up to the Ford GT40 and its ilk!!
Can't wait to see one in person!

It’s fantastic. It’s weird to see so many rail against it, including the various “rip corvette 1953 - 2019” postings, when Zora sought this very concept brought to reality but never got to see it. I’d love one in torch red or that beautiful blue during the reveal.
Not that I could afford it but I’d give up the 91 Z for it. A pristine Ruby 40th Z or a nice black 93 Z with a red interior would be the ultimate keepers for me.

find nothing wrong with the current cars evolving into its next phase. It happened in 1963-1984- and 2020.

Different strokes I guess. I loved the ZR-1, more for the engine than the '80s-'90s styling, and I also love the looks of my C7 (Sorry, Jeff). Everyone railed against the C7 because of different taillights but I find I like them a lot. The C8 is different, and while I can't afford one I and probably won't be getting one soon (unless I win one in a raffle). I was prepared not to like it much but after seeing the reveal pictures I think it looks better than I expected. Much like a Ferrari but then, not a bad car to compare to. I look forward to seeing a few in person. We'll see how many they sell; the C7s have sold very well over the years of production. I see that the C8 will be available in my Long Beach Red, so maybe someday....-Bob

Oh boy I understand your feelings totally. I like all the Corvettes. I'm spending more money on my car that it's getting well a bit crazy. Money I know I won't get back. But I don't care. I just bought a really nice set of factory low mile A-molds off a 95. I will have three sets of wheels for my car now. Plus I'm thinking of having Marc Haibeck do a 4.10 swap and coil overs as well. I grew up looking at the C3 Corvettes and always wanted one of those. I like the new car and think it's awesome. But I really want that 68-72 C3. If I could swing it I would buy a 65-67 C2 instead of the new Corvette. To me nothing is more beautiful than the C2's. Just my opinion. I have had the pleasure to drive a friends 65 coupe when he had one. It was awesome. I should have bought that car when I had the chance. If you really want to buy a new C8 I say go for it. You only live once so might as well get what you want. My 91 ZR1 is my guilty pleasure. I find my eye always strays though. I love looking at other ZR1's and what the owners have done or not done. I don't worry about values too much. I plan on driving and enjoying my car not saving it for the next owner. My son wants to buy the car. I told him fine. Then I will buy a C3 and enjoy that.

to me the lack of manual transmission option is more disappointing than the tail lights. overall it's a wonderful bang for buck with great space / functionality on top of the base model performance being way up there.
Some angles really look sharp! Plus you know they have a ton of potential in their back pockets with high performance Zxx variants that will probably look more squatted and flared.
Personally if I were in the market for a GT car in that price range it would be hard to ignore, but since i'm in a miserable climate with about 5 months a year of sporty driving, I want to shift my own gears on the weekend and less concerned about launch control.

Even without waiting for the Z versions, for the person that wants to stay NA, there will be the aftermarket. Imagine an intake, heads, cam and full exhaust version of this LT2 clicking off shifts? Vert exciting times for Corvette. Interested to see one of these with full bolt ons and a shot of Nitrous. Yikes!

I'll wait for the lease returns to start showing up, then I'll buy a CPO with warrantee.
I should be able to get a good buck for my daily driver '09 R8 in a couple of years.

Love the C8, and will be getting one in the next year or two to replace my '15 Z51 daily driver, but I will not be giving up my ZR-1.

I just put some money down for the C8, can't pass up the performance for the money! But I'm keeping the Z and the C7 vert, love them too much!

Chevy Definately has a hit with this mid engine...Are all corvettes of past generations good looking cars? Sure they are....
Over the years though to me the car just got too bulky, even though they were good looking cars they just looked big..
This one however is so sleek looking...I know a lot of people will chime in and say its heavier than the C7 but having that engine in the back along with a DCT, its just very super car looking..
I'm sure over the next few years Chevy may try to bring the weight down..If not than look for 800 HP to propel this thing in the Z06 or ZR1 version..
