Mods are the following; Jeal siamesed plenum, siamesed/ported inj housings, extrude hone heads, jeal intake cams, jeal headers, flowmaster catback. The car also has nitrous but this run was all motor. I will juice it next time and post the results. I will email you the graph. Dave #952 Car also has a LPE 63mm throttle body.

Are those numbers SAE or STD? If they are SAE, that is some serious horsepower. Congratulations!

They are SAE corrected numbers. I will email you the graph. BiZ will you post it if I get it to you? Dave #952

Wow,that is great,Dave. Where did the extra power come from? Did you and Corey lean out the a/f ratio? Last numbers I saw when I owned the car was 395rwhp and 335rwtq.
I always knew that car was capable of 410+rwhp.

Hey Clint I didn't know that was your old car. It must have been that hot thin Wichita Falls air!
Those are some pretty good number's.

It looks like the 420 reading was at the spike at the end of the pull. But the car is still ~412RWHP from what I can see on the graph. If you can get the dyno file on a disc and mail it to me I can get a real close look at it. Nice pull regardless

Actually,it was that hot, thin Bowling Green air. :D
Pretty salty numbers for a stock displacement LT5. When I dynoed the car a few years ago in Austin with the extrude-honed plenum & injector housings,it produced 392rwhp and 340rwtq. Unless Dave or Cory changed something else, that Jeal siamese plenum & Van Deventer injector housings added almost 30rwhp & 20rwtq. So much for the idea that a siamese plenum is too much airflow for a stock displacement LT5.

I do not know if that is a spike or a stumble at the end of the pull. At 6200 it stumbled a bit and then made power again. I think it will pull all the way to 420rwhp if it did not drop off there for a second. This car due to its extreme top end porting and big cams keeps making horsepower all the way to redline. There is no drop off. We set the dyno to shut down at 7100rpm. I need to do a little maintenance and tuning on the engine and I will get you guys a cleaner graph. The only thing I did before this run was an oil change and I put in a factory air filter. I will also set the redline higher to make sure it was not a spike. Thanks BiZ for posting the graph. Did you only do one pull on the dyno?

Everytime I have had my car on the dyno I gained at least 5 RWHP on the second pull. The third pull was within 1-2 rwhp of the second pull. See if you can get the file from the dyno shop. I would like to take a closer look at it.

But from that graph the 420 reading is at the spike at the end. That is the only time the car hit 420 on that pull.

I only did the one pull. I really did it to find out the a/f ratios. Next time we will shut down at 7200rpm to see if that was a spike or if it stays at 420. I am almost positive it will be a smooth pull all the way to 420, no stumbles or spikes. Remember, this was a base run with no tuning. Corey is gonna lean it up a bit and we will do a few runs. Some all motor and a few on nitrous.

I see how it can be confusing. The horsepower curve is the one that starts low and is read on the left of the graph. At around 280RWHP @4400RPM, then goes all the way up to what I think is around 412RWHP@7100RPM. Then the spike goes to 420RWHP. The Torque curve is the one that starts high and is measured on the right of the graph. The torque starts at around 340ft-lbs@4400RPM the drops to 300ft-lbs@ 7100RPM

It is a spike. The way you can tell is to look at the Torque curve. It also spikes. Which at the RPM will only happen if you hit the NOS. And hitting the NOS at 7100 RPM is not a good idea.

The first time I was at the dyno I also got a spike at the end. Although that is not where the reading came from. Peak was @ 345 RWHP and the spike at the end was @ 337 RWHP. Here is the graph. Look at the blue line.

And for a larger look here is the link to the graph. http://biz.digicat.org/Pics/Misc/Dyno/Dynorun03.jpg

It is a very small spike. But it does happen. It may have something to do with engaging the clutch at the end.

Dave, please don't think I am trying to rain on your parade. I'm sure the car has a 420 in it. That was only one pull. But on that graph the 420 was read from a spike.
