Check it out in the Collector Car section at item #593188310. Bidding is up to $34,400 but the reserve hasn't been met, yet. Sure wish I could buy that one. If the reserve is low enough,I might bid on it.

This car is listed for $65,000 on Lingenfelter's web site:

Something just doesn't jive,Carl. If you were going to try to get $65K on eBay,why start the bidding off so low? I'm hoping the reserve is around $40K. If so,I might bid on it. Hate to sell my car but I've already let one 415" car get away this year.

I don't think he'd get over about $55,000 for it (max) to be honest, but I guess we'll see. I would see it going for high $40's or so.

I guess we'll soon find out,Ryan. However,I've never heard of a LPE 415" ZR-1 ever going for less than $50K so my guess is it will not make the reserve.

If you look at the bid history, even though there are 39 bids, there are only 2 people bidding. raylaw54 seems to be inching up the bids searching for the reserve, and lums jumps in once in a while just to be on top. This could get interesting on the 19th when the lurkers start bidding. Hey Clint, why don't you start putting in some bids to see when the "reserve not met" goes away? I could use one of those 640 HP cars myself, guess it's my turn!

Why don't you loan me around $40K and I'll see if I can find the reserve price,Carl.
I'll be at our LT5 Regional Meet in Spearfish,SD on the 19th so I guess I'll miss my chance at another one. [img]http]//www.corvetteforum.cc/ubb/frown.gif[/img]

Clint - Send me your username and password, and you will be the high bidder on this 415. You can work out the funding when you get home. I'll even pick the car up for you and give it to you at Carlisle. OK that's a plan...

Well, there was a flurry of activity before bid closing, but the high bid was only $40,300 and the reserve was not met. I was in there for a little while, just to see if the reserve was right around $40,000, but I guess we'll never know!

Hey Vetteboy, why not call Lingenfelter & ask em for the owners name & call him direct?
Can't hurt if you're interested & it'll only cost you a little!

As a matter of fact I used e-bay to send the owner an e-mail. I asked him to send me a price, since the bid did not reach reserve. As long as the price was not the $65,000 on Lingenfelter's site! Who knows if I'll hear from the guy.

I emailed the owner, too. He is trying to get at least $55K for the car. I also offered to help him sell the car through our magazine classifieds but haven't heard back from him, yet.

$55k sounds like a good deal to me.

I agree,Chris. That price isn't really out of line for a car of that quality.
