I just wondered what most modified ZR1's are running for octane in their cars.

My 368 has ~12:1 compression and "should" run 94 oct., but all I can find is 92 here in Minn. I have found a few places with 93, but this is rare.

I have seen "race" gas at selected stations and airports with 100 to 110 octane, but I think they are all leaded (needs larger opening). Maybe I am wrong.

Lastly, I have heard that the 104/104+ Boost can foul up ones plug and/or injectors.

I am all set to stay with the 92/93 if that is my best/safest choice - like most people - I want more!

Let me know your thoughts please.

I pretty much run whatever I can get. Mostly around Chicago it's 93 octane. Anyplace with a Sunoco gets 94. Doug Rippie was telling me he got an octane analyzer and that at least one station he went to had the same octane for premium and regular. I mean to say, labeled differently, but if you bought premium you got regular. Apparently the Citgo stations are right on with their octane in his part of Minnesota, so at least in your state there's a legit place to go.

Thanks Clint! I was just hoping for a bit more without harming my engine.
