1989 Factory Twin Turbo (Callaway) For sale, w/in>
I thought I would post this in a seperate listing from the other thread, as I have had a few inquiries about the car -
The original ad is located here, complete w/ location, etc. : http://www.vettehound.com/geo/classi...php?a=2&b=3060 However, it cut off after so many words - so here is the complete text:
Price includes the ZF6 spd gearbox, that came with the car - I have the pedal cage, beam, bellhousing, console for 6-spd, etc, etc, etc. to go with the car -
In addition to the above, I am told the car has had porting to the rams horn and intercooler tracts. I bought the car for my wife - she say's it is too fast for her, and will stick to driving our other 1989 black coupe -
Some pictures of the car are below:
Also, here is the thread from the Corvette Forum's Forced Induction thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1352939

Oh boyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyohboyoh boy, You are tempting me Chris! Where are the NACA hood ducts. Most people will not know it is a Callaway without them. Does it have CORVETTE lettering in the rear or CALLAWAY?
Has it been dynoed? Any 1/4 mile times?
We recently had a couple of brothers in my area who were racing their Por-shays on the highway. They were doing 130mph when one of them rearended another car and caused it to flip. The one in the accident stopped and was arrested. The other brother fled for home where he was arrested later.
I don't know if I could resist street racing that bad thang - possible too much temptation to resist!!!

Only the 87s had the NACA ducts. And it is a stock bodied car so it says CORVETTE across the back.

^^^ ^^^ Ron, the 1987's while they employed the use of NACA Ducts, were not as effective at getting the cold air as the flat hoods on the 88-90 cars - the underside of those hoods were boxed in and drew air from the area of where the normal airfilter would have sat
re: emblems & decals - in addition to the front & rear Callaway Corvette emblems in place of standard ones, there is a decal on each side of the back glass - the pic below shows that (ignore the '87 only "Callaway" plaque on the roof pillar)
Sorry, No dyno numbers or 1/4 mile times - I was going to take it to the track last fall however, it rained solid for about 2 mos.
Ron - thanks for looking

Does this come with a D44 rear? And what gears are in the car? And what kind of boost in this making to produce over 500chp? These questions, might help you sell the car.

Nice thing about a Callaway Corvette, Banks DO recognize them - they are listed in the CPI Value book so one could actually get a loan on this car
Thanks for looking

You are tempting me....it would be wonderful to renew the stable with a Callaway, I miss the past..
Shipping might cause me to question it's feasability.
Any ideas, ???
And, is the picture on your signature, taken from this car....
Gee, you didn't really go that fast did you.
Heck, I thought you pampered all your baby's
"Like the Little old Lady from Lime Rock, I mean Pasadena...."
Seriously, give me some ideas....

No DOUBT!!! That will be one sweet install, and will take a LOAD of power! I'll bet the shifts snap off like a kit-kat bar in a homeless man's fingers!!!
Don't sell it! I want to buy it in 2 years! Just kidding - good luck again!
