FS: 1991 ZR1, Blk/Blk, 29000 Miles
1991 Corvette ZR1 Super Car with 29,000 original miles - Black with Black interior.
Car was purchased new 03/94 with all options and factory warranty. I purchased from original owner in 07/95 with 7500 miles. I also purchased an extended GM warranty that expired in 1999. As such the car has been perfectly maintained, including being updated with all GM technical service bulletins and recalls. Always garaged, not driven in winter, an maybe has seen 5 rain storms in 11 years (you can eat off the bottom of the car)
Purposely and tastefully upgraded over the years and includes the best of everything with the emphasis on quickness/speed, road course handling, and overall driver comfort and safety. The modifications include:
Unopened LT5 350 cid engine with +460hp (dyno’d at 391rwhp @ 366rw Ft lb on SuperFlow AutoDyn 05/2005.
o Watson 2 ½” ceramic coated headers (Jet Hot) with custom Flowmaster 3" diameter stainless steel exhaust and hi-flow catalytic converter (Random Tech). Relocated MAF, ported/polished plenum and injector housing. Blueprinted injectors.
o Ron Davis NASCAR style oversize aluminum radiator. K&N air filter with modified air box lid and rigid air intake. 63 mm throttle body. Recalibrated chip optimized “real time” on the SuperFlow dyno (fans, advance, fuel mix, etc.)
o Many new parts like water pump, plugs, seat track, h/L motor, amps, a/c repair, etc. Fanatically maintained: Mobil 1 10-30/filter every 3,000 miles, all fluids changed to include ATE hi temp brake fluid, Red Line Dif fluid, etc….
3-Way adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers, polyurethane bushings, recent street aggressive 4-wheel alignment, upgraded beam bolts; ride height lowered approximately 1.5". Shocks replaced under warranty.
Dana Super 44 Richmond 4.10 ring and pinion from late model Viper. Hurst short-throw shifter. Fresh ZF 6 speed gearbox that was rebuilt under warranty (to retain numbers matching components)
Grand Sport front brake calipers/on stock 13” rotors. Stock brakes in rear. Stock master cylinder with custom 50/50 proportioning valve (allows car to “flatten” vs nose dive under hard braking). Stainless steel brake lines and Stock pads. Hawk track compound pads available
Wheels are from 1994 ZR1. Tires are Yokohama AVS 275/40/17 and 315/35/17 (stock)
All original interior. Weather-stripping, Radio deck, seat belts, replaced under warranty.
The only issues with the car are 1) the console side is separating from the top surface on driver side, and 2) the special windshield is delaminating (problem with all ZR1s).
Car is extremely fast and a solid performer on and off the track. It should be able to be driven anywhere in the country. If you live locally, feel free to come take a look. Although it looks like a concourse show car, it has been driven (it did place first in a Corvette Club of America show). This car is perfect for a performance oriented ZR1 purist who still wants his car to look, feel, and drive stock, just with an extra 80 horsepower or so.
If you have questions, please e-mail me at joe.whitney@adelphia.net or call me (703) 999-8167 and I will be open and honest about the car. Someone will get a great deal and will not be disappointed.
Total asking price is $24,900. Original cost for the car was $68,000 in 1991.

If the car is still available I would be interested. I would like to see more interior pics specifically the drivers seat. Does the radio have a CD player?
Thanks
