I remember going with my Dad in November 1987 to buy that EXACT car at Bryan Chevy in New Orleans. He sold it in 1996. He should have kept it. It was one of the most beautiful color combos.
If you were closer, I would buy it for the hell of it...I don't even have the garage space....I just have a special love for an 88 Z51 DarkRed/Camal
Good Luck

LowFlight - good story that's cool to hear.. yes the memories of when we used to have them are some times better than when we actually have them-- go figure
thanks all for the props. will just keep it out there and see what happens yes things are soft right now; have been for a long long time. bad economy and seems the person that can burn 10k on a toy probably wants something a little newer.. so we shall see.

Very nice. Someone here once described that as a PB&J car.
Cuisinart (spelling?) isn't that the twin of your old C4. You should fly in and drive that back to Cali !

the 84 85 Z51s were very stiff.. starting in 86 and thru 88, they refined it each year and got the spring rates in combination with the shock stiffness just right.. its a pretty decent ride. cut the wheel hard, nothing - zero roll, unlike base model C4s up thru 96..that dip and dive on hard corners...had a few calls. no serious interest yet tho..

tally ho. it has everything. the only thing it doesn't have is the lumbar adjustments with the bags..( that are always broken anyway ;-)... I think thats it...has electric AC control. has Z51 which has most other options has dual power seats..no glass top... only hard top..

Just watched a very clean '96 LT4 coupe with 27k miles sell just above reserve at $13,900. on eBay. The market is there - at the right price.

The other issue is there are so many 92-95 LT1 cars available for the same money. You'll sell eventually but it will have to be to a specific buyer. Don't be surprised if you have to adjust your asking price some to move it.

Rob - Do you have any under hood pics? What shape are the seat bolsters in esp. driver's side? Thanks.

are you interested in the car? or somebody else.
I didnt take any underhood pics. suffice to say it is as clean as the rest of the car. we all know what it looks like - nothing changed not even an airfoil. the side bolster is not ripped but is slightly worn as is every single other 88 corvette made. again if you know the cars you know exactly ewhat it looks like. its a super clean car.. all around. if you have a serious buyer that realy wants pics of these to places i will take them for sure - let me know. thanks for the inqurery
