I will personally vouch for this car.
It looks, runs, and drives amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in this car, fill it with gas, and drive it cross country and back. Pete is meticulous in how he cares for things. Don't let the miles scare you....If you see this car in person, you'll swear it's still 1996 and it's a 10K mile car. The engine is clean enough to eat off of. If you're looking for a nice, dependable C4, you've found it.

Yes, anyone can buy a 20 year old Vette for $9K
It may need new windshield, new seats, new bushings, suspension, cooling system, and interiors. This Vette is already there.
This Corvette is ready to roll, I'm so confident on this car that I can get the keys right now, and take off for a 8,000 mile trip, and I would not need to do any preparation nor open the hood at this very moment.
