no opti and your only a cam and headers (a grand) away from lt1 power. Ive owned two c4s now both lt1s and my opinion is that the 91 is the best of both worlds. Better lines of the later c4s with no opti reliability problems.

Agreed, cam and intake swap. L98s make loads of torque but fall flat up top, partly due to the long runners on the TPI. Swap to a TPIS miniram or maybe Edelbrock ProFlo and shift more power up top.

Does this car have the 3.07 rear end gears? If so, the motor makes 250 HP vs. 245 standard. I would imagine with a 6 speed manual that it does have the 3.07 set.

Damn, nice car! I too like that color and want to see the inside. Type of seats; base or sport seats, etc

Actually Lloyd, you made a very good point, IMHO.

No Opti is a BIG plus, and this model year in that color is a real looker.

BS, opti problems are blown out of proportion and most nightmares are from inept mechanics and hillbilly Billy Bobs installing them incorrectly.....and lets not forget the old timers who feel the need to spray the entire engine down because that's what they did in the 70s.

I agree with you... I have owned the LT1 engines in my SS Impalas and the C4's vettes and have only changed one opti and that was because it was right there when i changed out the water pump.

To the ones saying you would add money to this cars engine to equal the LT1. go for it i wouldn't change anything on this one but a much lower buying price.

Still a nice looking car from afar
