90 Vert (Roller; engine seized)
The engine to my 1990 vert has seized (I don't know what happened) so I'm looking to sell it to a forum member.
I'm asking $2000 for an intact car. I don't have the room to part it out myself, or I would
Located in central New Jersey near I-287.
I have attached a few pictures to provide an overall idea of what the car is like.

Fellow NJ guy here; how many miles on the car, etc? What can you tell us about the motor that could have caused the problem? Was it a daily driver, track car, etc?
How's the rest of the car holding up, and have you done any maintenance?
Sorry for your trouble.

About 125K
I never raced or abused it
Was garaged for years, but became an "outside car" when I moved to NJ (from MI), and was a daily driver for about two years.
Fair maintenance, but I changed oil and other filters religiously.
I'm guessing that the head gasket failed and coolant leaked into cylinders, but I really don't know. Was in a "no start" situation and was in process of diagnosis, etc. then winter set in. When tried to start in spring it was a "no go". Car hasn't started since November of 15.
If you want to talk to me in more detail you can PM and I'll send you my phone #.

What I can see it needs just from the pics posted:
1) Full paint
2) New seat covers
3) Carpet
4) Weatherstrip
5) Tires
Factor in a seized shortblock and throw in a grand for any other mechanical issues and you are knocking on the door of 10k. If sonebody has the ability to do some work themselves, they can save some coin. You have it priced right, but be open to offers. It would be better to get the car to somebody sooner rather than later since it is being stored outside.
Good luck.

Certainly agree! Either this is a parts car (probably best option) or a car for someone who can put in a used L98 themselves and have a fun car for a couple of grand. As far as a restoration project, probably better starting points.
Thanks for the feedback!

Great color combo. Changing that engine out is not a difficult job if you have access to a lift. Check for a good used engine with some of the Corvette salvage yards like Contemporary Corvette in Bristol, PA. You could be back on the road with a running, driving car for $2,000 and a weekend's labor.

Dang I wish I had the extra dough right now. I have been looking for a Convertible roller to swap my drive train into. Plus you are a heck of a lot closer than others I have found. (I live near Poughkeepsie, NY) That's what always happens though isn't it? You always find the deals when you are not ready for them, haha.
Of course if you are looking to help out a "charity case" such as myself I would sure be overjoyed! haha
