FS (TX) 1996 Collector Edition Convertible (LT1) - $11,000 - Negotiable
Definitely not ready for a museum but it is a good driver quality, nearly classic Corvette with just under 90,000 miles on the odometer.
The Good
- Paint is in good shape as is the dash and instrument panel.
- Many parts replaced in the dashboard to include center console cover, shifter leather, shift indicator and panel.
- Oil is changed regularly with Mobil 1 and all of the fluids were replaced when I purchased the car in 2012.
Under the hood, the radiator, coolant hoses, battery, headlight gears, fuel system and fuel injector gaskets, belt, plugs and wires were all replaced.
- Tires were replaced in 2012 and currently have approximately 12,000 miles on them.
- The top was replaced in in 2012 with high quality cloth top and glass window with defroster. Most of the weather stripping was replaced when the top was replaced as well.
The OK
- The seats, carpet and door panels show wear but are decent as can be seen in the pictures.
The Bad
- There is an oil leak. The valve cover gaskets were replaced but did not stop the leak. It drips on the garage floor and you can smell it after it's driven.
- The front right rim is dented. The wheel is balanced and the tire does not leak air.
- The Tire Pressure Monitoring System was removed by the previous owner so does not work.
Overall this is a good and reliable car that we have enjoyed and will provide many more years of enjoyment to the next owner.
