Default 1996 White Convertible + Matching HT

White 1996 Corvette convertible, asking $11000 OBO. LT1 Auto with 56,000 miles. White with black interior, sport seats, matching white factory hard top (factory part but not original to this car) clean title. Selling for my Dad who bought this car 3 years ago as his dream car, but unfortunately his health has declined severely and he is no longer able to drive. He is actually a member here on the forum (JJaym) but his health has deteriorated rapidly beyond the ability to even post the car on here. I will be doing everything related to the sale for him.

I have the window sticker and factory build sheet he ordered from the NCM last year as well as maintenance records dating back to before he owned it. Car is all original except top and muffler delete kit installed after he purchased it. The factory soft-top is still installed but it will need to be replaced if you want to use it in place of the hard top. This is a great car and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on a trip anywhere, anytime. Price is negotiable but I'm not going to give it away. I don't do loans but I am willing to coordinate pick-up for someone who wants to fly and drive. Car is also for sale locally on Craigs List. Cash or certified bank check only. Thanks

Does this car have F45 - electronic Selective Real Time Damping? There is item covering where the switch would be so cannot tell from pic. Please post pic of Service Parts Identification decal. Thanks

No it does not have upgraded suspension. My dad did replace shocks in 2015 but the suspension is standard. Here is a pic of the build sheet and window sticker.

Bumping the thread after a month hiatus. Unfortunately things with Dad did not improve and I just haven't been able to get on here and handle this sale. He passed away 3 days after my last post and it has been difficult trying to tie up all the loose ends of a life. My mother is now the owner and I am still coordinating for her as she knows nothing about the car (other than the fact that it's in her garage!) or the forum. So, I was wondering is my pricing off? Dad payed more than this and the car is better now than when he bought it. I am willing to entertain offers but so far only had one person even try and the deal ended up falling through at the last minute. Please guys, let me know what you think.

Very sorry for your loss. Pricing is not off...it's a bad time of year with winter and the holidays....you may plan on it sitting for a couple months until spring and then you will be in the sweet spot for selling a vette. Put a battery tender on it and wait for the right person to come along. Have you tried craigslist and ebay?

Best wishes.

Your price is right on for a spring sale.

Update for anyone interested, I let the craigslist ad expire due to lack of interest in winter. I will keep this post here and look to repost locally in March or April. Until then the car is definitely still for sale, just not on CL. For those worried about it sitting, it is on a battery tender, in a garage staying clean and dry while it awaits it's new owner....

no responses on Cl means nothing, most responses are in the 1-5k range. Wont hurt for exposure or someone googling

I just saw this post. I was in a similar situation, except I inherited my dad's car. He passed away 2 NOV, just a couple days before you posted. I am (belatedly) sorry for your loss. That's a fine looking car. Hope you get 'er sold.

And how do we get to "Tomorrowland" to see this car?
The link to the expired CL ad says Norfolk, so can we
assume Norfolk, Virginia? (there is more than one Norfolk)

Definitely not "Tomorrowland". It is indeed Norfolk VA, but your post reminds me I forgot to post the new craigslist add. I let the old one expire over the winter.

https://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/d...549247010.html

I am available to show the car most evenings and sometimes at lunch if coordinated in advance. Of course weekends are good too.

For those wondering, the message on the digital dash is the "instant MPG" reading. It's zero because the car was not moving.
