Corvette For Student Project
I'm part of a student engineering team at North Carolina State University and we're working on an electric sports car design project. My team is searching for a car that we can use as a foundation for our project and we've decided that a C4 Corvette will fit our needs well. A C5 would be even better, but C5s tend to be out of our means.
We have a very limited budget, so we're looking for cars at a low price point or even cars that can be donated. We're not looking for cars in show quality and even daily driver quality is not a necessity.
We'd like to find a car that meets this description:

Mechanically sound chassis and drivetrain from transmission back (the engine will not be used, so it does not need to run)
Relatively rust-free structure
Manual transmission (Automatic losses are not conducive to an electric car and years with the 6 speed manual would be ideal but we're not picky)
Body condition is not a concern
We will be very thankful for any help that can be provided in this search
