There's one on Kansas City's craigslist (can't post a link - on the work PC). It's been on there for over a year w/o any price adjustments. No affiliation.

Yes, thank goodness it DOES have the original wheels. I am not sure if I could handle wagon wheels on a ZR-1.

Delta Motors in Bloomsburg Pa. has a 91 570-784-4061 Black interior with only 12500 miles may be worth a phone call to check if it is still for sale.

Oh wow, the car looks decent, the fact that they put 97' wheels on it is umm...disconcerting. And motivated seller...yet $32k. It looks like it is with a Corvette dealer, and it looks clean, but why wouldn't they put the original wheels back on?

Is the aftermarket spoiler on the hood glued on or bolted?

Probably preserving the original (or close to it) Goodyear Eagle GS-Cs. My '96 GS had them when I bought it, and they stayed on there for all of about 15 minutes. Purists might think they make the car, but I would never trust a 20 year old tire even if just driving 30 MPH to a show. Would need to pick up a set of A Molds or another set of Salad Shooters ASAP if you went for that one.

Good question, I have never seen anything like it, have no clue what it is or why it is there, to me it just looks flat out ugly, it would be the first thing to go.

Along with Ferrari Testarossa door "grates", high wings, and ground effects of Corvette body kits from the 80's (which of course was an offshoot of the questionable Corvette customizing of the 70's), the hood wing was one of the more questionable body kit styling touches. Yes, a wing on your would actually make your car faster and hug the ground better!

Yes, most likely some paint work to fix this, but with the asking price and even maybe a little more price room, I think you could have that car looking mint in no time. FWIW, the front bumper might have a little scraping from what I see and maybe a couple other areas. Nothing that can't be corrected.

The front of this car has the original Gatorbacks (or original replacement Gatorbacks). The rear has the next generation GS-C's.

Both cars shown in this thread have promise in my mind. Yes, get that wing off of there.

Why would you need different rims? Just put the originals back on and get some new tires. They still make that size.

Yeah, the wing would get ripped off before it got home. Don't care if I had holes in the hood as a result. I think maybe the fact that it still has Gatorbacks on it is more worrisome. Sounds like it might not be safe to drive until you can find some new tires.

Alot of people want to hold on to the original Gatorbacks or GS-Cs that came with these cars. To my knowledge, they do not make reproductions. Only reason for keeping them would be for NCRS judging or some people like having them for shows. You could absolutely buy new tires and use the stock wheels. When I bought my '96 GS it had GS-Cs with date codes of '00 & '01, at the time it made them 15+ years old. They looked like they just rolled off Goodyear's production line, but I had no interest in making my 9 hour drive home in them (from KC where I bought the car back to Texas). I ordered a set of Nitto 555 G2s from DT before I went to purchase the car and had them installed 15 minutes after the sale was completed. The guy I bought the car from ended up taking the old GS-Cs and sold them for a few hundred bucks! IMO the A-Molds look way better on ZR-1s and repops are not very expensive.

I get it. I'm a purist though. Nothing should be changed, at least as far as appearance goes. If someone wants A mold wheels they should buy a 94' or 95'. You don't buy a Ferrari 365 GTB and put different wheels on it, you restore it to factory specs and keep it that way forever.

Atari,

Let me know if you would be interested in a 1990 ZR-1 in Turquoise Metallic/Black. Stock appearance inside and out, aside from 94-95 A Mold wheels and exhaust, but it has some mods to improve performance (top end porting, headers/exhaust, gears, GS brakes, etc). Original wheels and exhaust can be provided with car. If interested, PM me for details.

Hi Scott,

Nice car. Unfortunately looking for 91' model and a bit closer to stock.

Roger... good luck with the search, there were nearly 100 Turquoise made in '91 so you should be able to find a good example if you are patient.

Cheers,
Scott
