1989 Red AT, LOTS of work done Great Condition $7800
1989 Corvette. 116k miles. I love it but just never have time to drive it and I hate that it just sits in the garage unused. I’ve raced it in SCCA CAM a few times, done 1 track day at NCM and it’s a great platform for BSP (if it’s still in that class). Here’s the list of work done. If I don’t list the brand of the part, it most likely came from Mid-America Corvette catalog. I have a binder of all work done that’s traveled with the car to each owner:
*Cut air lid with K&N
*Performance rocker arms and valve springs (not sure which ratio, assume 1.6. Done by first owner)
*High flow, catless Y-pipe, High flow main cat, performance cat back exhaust
*Complete head/valve job 3 years ago
*Vette Brakes and Products front 32mm swaybar, 24mm rear Z51 swaybar
*New Bilstein Z51 front/rear shocks/struts
*Stock front spring with lowering kit
*Z51 rear spring with lowering bolts
*B&M shift kit
*Manual torque converter lockup switch for track days with digital trans temp gauge
*Hawk HPS pads
*Motul 600 brake fluid ready to go in plus new speed bleeders
*Red Line synthetic power steering fluid
*Previous owner had the leather seats reupholstered
*Air is cold, heat stopped working last year. I think it’s the blend door switch.
*Interior and exterior are a 8/10
*Continental Extreme DW tires with pretty much full tread
*Trans fluid and filter recently changed
*Mobil 1 synthetic
*New U-joints
*New radiator
I’m sure I’m forgetting other items. NADA for average condition is $9k.

Nice looking, seemingly well cared for car. From what I've seen locally (TX) that's worth it over what I've been able to find for a car of unknown background without the upgrades. If you were closer, I'd probably buy it. I've done "fly-n-drives" on many of my past vettes, but am not in a place to want to do it right now, and shipping would obviously bump the price up by a good percentage.
At any rate, wanted to let you know that there is at least someone out there who would think long and hard about buying at that price if I was local...so hang in there. There must be another guy like me out there. Or, feel free to bring it to me

How loud is it inside? In your opinion, would I have any issues using it a daily driver for a few months or making the drive from TN to Texas? No radio from the pictures correct?

No radio installed but I think I still have the Kenwood head unit that I had in there before I installed the trans temp gauge in its place. I never listened to the radio anyway! Honestly I don't think it's loud in the cockpit. The exhaust is a touch louder than stock but not much. It still has the main cat and stock manifolds so it's tame. As for driving it to TX I don't see that being an issue. The fluids are pretty fresh, the radiator is brand new along with hoses and it had a full head job about three years ago. AC is cold too.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like a solid car. Radio is not an essential for me; just cold A/C. I'll keep this on my short list. Hoping to make some decision by the end of the month.

I will sweeten the offer by buying the buyer lunch at my local lakefront restaurant. You can't pass up a great Corvette AND a waterfront meal! You're losing money by not buying this car!

I'm asking in the same ballpark as what most C4's are listed at in my area that aren't close to the condition mine is in. I'm just surprised no one has even asked about it or made some kind of offer. I've already done all the refreshening work that buyers would have to do to another C4. I know they are a dime a dozen but not in great condition. Good feedback though! Thanks!

Interested. Could you send me the VIN? Pictures look like stock transmission shifter. Been looking for a standard transmission, but may settle for automatic. Very nice looking car. I'm about 8 hours away. Thanks for your time.
