Like the car. Two questions though. Do you have the original wheels? And, how did you arrive at the price?

He might have said to himself,.... Self, I have a low mile car that there were only 502 built in 92 that I've put a crap ton of money into, that came out looking outstanding, running outstanding and I want some of what I put into it back out of it. Moral of the story, there are some cars that warrant a higher price and it doesn't really matter to the seller what NADA or KBB or the last auction results say the car should be valued at. Someone with the money that wants the car because of the records, whats in it and how it turned out will buy it. The question of "whats the value" of the car is irrelevant in some cases.... As a buyer, I am always respectful of what the seller has into it and I'm willing to pay him for the upgrades when done properly and with good records of what was done.

You are correct, the seller might have said all those things. I'm more curious what the seller has to say on the subject. People price things certain ways for a lot of reasons. There is a big difference though between what we want and the value of something. ZR-1s will eventually go up in value, but right now there are hundreds on the market, and the prices are fairly consistent. Pristine, less than 5k cars are going for $28k-30. Rare colors or options are going for similar prices. Most are going for between $18-25k. Not everyone knows what their car is worth and maybe they price it the same as some other car on a forum (and maybe that car has been for sale for five years). There are tons of factors, so the question stands, how did the seller arrive at the price.

the way I arrived at the asking price was by looking at what else was available at what price. It's hard to Value something like this because condition and modifications have a huge role to play as we all know and honestly there's nothing for sale out there comparable to my car. I've seen a couple (usually stock) that are low, asking $15k and it probably is too much for the condition of the car.... and I've seen others out there that are asking 30,000 and I look at the condition and think "yeah that's about right". I know basically what I have in this car which is $42k in full disclosure, I'm realistic in knowing that I'm not going to get all my money back out of it but with that being said there's no way you could build this car for my asking price. I've gone over and or replaced/addressed every area you would want to on a car like this. Don't be fooled into buying a "cheap one" @$18k and then spend the next year throwing time/money at it trying to get it up to par....or do, it's your money.
honestly I think this car is probably worth $32k with out the modifications, I bought it from the original owner and it has 21000 miles on it and is in way above average condition. You're getting all the awesomeness for free😉.

Now let me ask you a question, how many C4 zr-1 do you think are out there that are comparable to this one? In the world ....total how many? My guess is maybe 2 or 3 that I've seen at most but I would like to know your opinion.
