1996 LT4 vette
Im looking for a decent, 'driver grade' LT4 vette. 80k+ miles, no accidents, good paint, something that has been kept up with that wouldnt need a whole lot of work...OR something needing an engine. Looking for something I can drive while I work on it, something I wont feel bad for playing with a bit.
I happen to have a bright aqua '95 auto car with 125k on it, but it needs work, and Id rather start with something closer to what I want. I would be willing to go in on a partial trade as well. Obviously, I would be still putting in a considerable amount of cash if we went that route.
Please, no tan interiors. Prefer gray or black. Id like to avoid a red car but will entertain the right one. No accident cars. Im located near Savannah GA.

Houston c4
There is a very very nice one on Craigslist in Houston. $10,800 with only 54000 on it. And it's a collector's edition. Red interior 6-speed lt4. Very nice car. If you contact the owner tell him Mike from Wisconsin recommended it. His name is Chris and his telephone number is 713-245-6878.

I know i'm in Dallas so i thought minus well look "her" up on craigslist... Very nice Corvette, i would be tempted but i really need an automatic Vette in this shape with my bad back, you can feel the movement and pain in your back when shifting gears so much in town. but sooooooooooo tempting

Amen to that. If I could get a quick sale on my 85 I'd be all over that. Besides a Grand Sport (I refuse to pay that kind of $$$ for a C4) that is my most desired Corvette.
Being Houston, I would have to get it really looked at for flood at that price. I know it says it wasn't but I'd still go in cautious. I can tell you that my wife's grandfather lives not far from there (maybe 2 miles) and he had 2 feet of water in his house with Harvey :-(

Run a carfax on it. Look for new carpet, under seats or even under carpet for evidence of water. A musty smell could also be water. Excessive corrosion of interior/dash bracketry. Also, alot of electrical problems could be expected with a flood car. Dirt under the car in odd places in excess is also a sign. (Waterline on the radiator for example)
