First, if you’re question is why would I buy this C4 over the thousands of others out there, this is it… hands down the nicest feature on this car compared to other C4s is the paint. I’ve tried to capture in pictures the chromatic nature of this paint job, but honestly pictures don’t do it justice. It never ceases to get compliments when driven. There is a lot of metal flake in the paint and it shifts as the angle of the sun changes. As a base however, it is Torch Red with a red/black interior. There are a few paint chips from being a semi-daily driver. Those aren’t really noticeable unless you are detailing the car or giving it a close look.
Second, and just as important, there are no codes on the car. It runs perfect. Over the years I’ve replaced parts as needed and kept her running as it should. I have spent many hours behind the wheel on trips to West Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina (for the Dragon). I’ve never had a problem with it on a long trip and wouldn’t hesitate to get behind the wheel for another trip. In our 6 years together, I’ve put 16,000 miles on the her.
Other than my long trips when weather can be unexpected, the car lives in the garage and does not go out in the rain. Each winter it’s cleaned up and stored until the weather is cleared and warm enough to start driving again.
The Targa has the typical spider webbing due to its age. No actual cracks or leaks from the glass, but they are there. I spend 90% of my time driving without a top and have lived with it for the last 6 years.
The radio works, but has static and pops. I’ve replaced the Bose speaker/amp combination twice in the rear speakers (per the forum) and it didn’t solve the problem. When I first got the car, I was convinced I’d replace the stereo with a more modern one. Since then, I’ve learned I’d rather have the top off and enjoy the sound of the exhaust.
I have the car fax from when I purchased the car in photos below. Nothing has changed during my ownership other than the miles going up a little. That said you’re welcome to re-run it and verify.
Why is it up for sale? I’m retiring. I’ve got to sell my house here in Virginia and the money from the sale is to close the loose ends on this house.
Torch Red base color.
Took this after the Torch Red photo, just walked to a different angle on the car.
Borla exhaust and K&N Filter are the only "mods" to the car

I had a torch red '95 coupe and it was a great car! What color is the paint now? Almost looks like Inferno Orange Metallic? Beautiful car GLWS!

I had a 2010 Raptor in a very similar color and the pictures of the two side by side were awesome. Ford Called it Molten Orange. Seems like as good a name as any to me since I had never tried to name it before.
What always struck me was how it could easily pass as Torch Red if you looked at it from one angle, but it doesn't stay that way as you or the car move. I know nearly nothing about paint, so to me it was just impressive that they can do stuff like that.

Folks, I've had a few people ask about the car and initiated a request to see it, but never actually followed through with a committed date.
I'm negotiable on the price within reason.
I'll let it sit out here for a couple more weeks and if it doesn't sell, I'll pull the add to go hit the C4 gathering at the Corvette Museum.

It is indeed. I've done very little to push selling it. I thought I'd park it on the base for a while but haven't done that yet. I had it posted on Craigslist for a few weeks, all I really got were scam calls.
It's in a buddies garage now. My house closes next week.

Vermatrix,
Sorry I was out this weekend. I do not have shots of the bottom, but could run it out to the shop that takes/took care of it and ask him to put it on the lift for me. I'll try to get over there before Saturday.

I did get pictures Friday afternoon of the under carriage, but it looks like the car is sold.
If the buyer backs out, I'll post them Thursday. He's supposed to pick it up Wednesday.
