1988 35th Anniversary Corvette, 94,594 miles, $2700
For sale is my 35th Anniversary Corvette. Car does have a blown head gasket and interior could use TLC. I have factored this into my price. Need to sell badly. Very motivated to sell. Any questions or offers feel free to reach out to me on here. Also via email at philsphan01@gmail.com or phone at 239-851-5036. I’m also in the Spring Hill, TN area which is about 30 miles south of Nashville. If anyone close by is interested.

The car is well worth restoring. The asking price is fair and will allow someone to feel good about putting some time and money in the car. The car deserves to be restored. If I were closer I would seriously consider buying the car.

How close are you out of curiosity? I would consider coming down a decent amount on price to offset a portion of shipping cost, if you were gonna buy.

I agree with mazda in that the car deserves to be restored. As for "feeling good" about putting money into the resto, it will take some fairly deep pockets and a lot of work to get it to a proper completion if the new owner wants it done right. As we all know, those interior parts alone aren't cheap by any means. Using CA as a "rough" price gauge I estimate that carpet, door panels, steering wheel, and dash pad alone come in at just under $2400. Then you have the engine work, body/paint/tires....these cars are never cheap to bring back...even if doing 100% of the work yourself.
I realize that used parts help diffuse some of the cost (if they can be found in really nice condition)....but that's always a gamble.
If this car were closer Philsphan and I would be talking as I would definitely be interested. This is close to the same condition my last C4 was when I bought it...and this '88 can definitely be brought back to life!
Best of luck with the sale!!
Dave

I actually sold it to a gentleman yesterday. Said he wanted it as a project for him and his son. So I think it went to a good place. I think they’ll be able to get it to a level that I couldn’t.

Congrats on the sale, and those are the buyers I always like seeing a car go to... Hope they have good times restoring it.
