1990 ZR-1 w/ 30k miles - 6 speed - $18,000
For sale is a 1990 ZR-1 6-speed with w/ 30k miles - Red w/ Beige Interior. My grandfather purchased this car w/ 26k miles about 6 years ago. He passed away a couple years ago and the car has mostly been sitting in the garage since then. My grandmother has no use for the car so it's time for it to find a new home. I'm not much of a Corvette connoisseur so I will provide as much information about that car as possible to do the talking for me. To abide by forum rules, I just want to make it clear that isn't my car. It was my grandfathers and now my grandmothers since he passed away. I have full access to the car so all communication for potential sales will be with me. The only role she has is to sign the car over if a sale is made. And lastly, I agree to participate in trying to resolve any post-sale issues.
When he purchased the car it came with a binder that contains service records for the car and other details from the previous owners. Here is what I learned about the car from the binder of paperwork:
Performance Modifications:
The previous owner had it dyno'd and claimed it makes 376 RWHP.
As far as maintenance goes, the earlier years seem to be pretty minor with basic repairs such as MAP/O2 sensors. Here are the only two somewhat important recent repairs that I seen:
Here is what I know about the car:
My grandmother contacted a local Chevy dealership in Vermont to see if they'd be interested in purchasing the car. The owner of the dealership took the car and inspected it and said the fuel injectors need replacing and new tires due to tire rot. The cars run and drives great so I'm not too sure what the fuel injector issue is. The only thing I've noticed is that at lower RPMs in higher gears it feels like it can't make power similar to as if someone was trying to drive up a hill in too high of gear. Here are a few other details that I've seen from being around the car:
I think that's just about everything I have to say about the car and it's history. We're in Connecticut and looking for $18,000 for the car but I'm also open to offers. Again I'm not too familiar with the Corvette world so with a car like this I can't tell if the performance modifications increase the value or decrease it because it isn't original. I'm a motivated seller so if there is any additional information, pictures or anything you want to know about the car please let me know and I can do my best to get it.

Performance Modifications:
- Entire upper end extrude honed and polished
- 63mm throttle body
- Ported cylinder heads
- Forced Air cold air intake w/ K&N filter
- 3" Watson stainless steel headers
- 3" Desert Development exhaust system
- 3" Random Technology cats (Will pass emissions)
- Performance chip
- 180 degree thermostat
- 4:09 gears
- Baer cross drilled and slotted rotors
- Grand Sport calipers
- Russel stainless steel brake lines
- High gloss black powder coating on throttle body, water pipes, injector housing and cam covers. (I guess this isn't technically performance but it might give a few ponies lol)

As far as maintenance goes, the earlier years seem to be pretty minor with basic repairs such as MAP/O2 sensors. Here are the only two somewhat important recent repairs that I seen:
- April 2010 - 25,219 miles - Exhaust leak and Clutch leaking hydraulic fluid fixed.
- May 2012 - 26,048 miles - Starter replaced with AC Delco 19133914

- Passenger headlight only flips half way out.
- Power windows are picky about going up. They move very smoothly but when trying to roll them up, somtimes hitting up doesn't do anything. Seems to work better when the door is open...
- Front spoiler needs replacing. I had to remove it so car would fit on the U-Haul Auto Trailer. It was cracked in a couple spots so I just tossed it out rather than re-installing that PITA.
- Full Power key - When turned all the way (2 o'clock) the full power light doesn't come on . If you unturn it just a bit (1:30 o'clock) the full power light properply displays.
- INFL REST light is on.
- Oil Change - I just changed the oil with Mobile 1 High Mileage 10W-30. It seemed like a popular choice with a lot of users on the forum.

Make sure to click on the image gallery link if you want to see more pictures. I didn't want to make the original post massive with pictures so I only posted a few basic shots here.
Here is a link to the eBay listing that has the the vehicle history report if you want to see it: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-Chevro...e/223531902920

Car looks great! The top is in the rear hatch area backwards, the rear of the top fits into the brackets behind the seats and the front will latch in. Just an FYI. I think you are priced right for a very nice car.

It looks really nice. A question to everyone. How much would it cost to change out the injectors and fix all the other issues? It sounds like something knocking in the last video. What could that be?
Thanks

Price lowered to $16,000 OBO. Not in a rush to sell but it ain't doing us any favors sitting in the driveway. I don't have a trusty mechanic and I don't care for working on cars or I'd just replace injectors and ask for more. Don't let this opportunity pass you if you're interested

Yes it can be driven to Indiana with likely no issues. It doesn't make good power under moderate to heavy acceleration but you'd have no problem driving it under normal conditions.
