97SL500 for a C5 Convertible
Wife just agreed to let me trade up/down with or without cash for a C5 convertible. We are looking for a C5 or C6 with low miles in great condition (of course). We prefer black / Red / or Burgendy colors but will consider other colors. We live in Pensacola.
About our 97 Mercedes SL500
My scale for cars
1 - Junk
5 - Average for year of car
10 - Showroom condition
Overall condition of the Mercedes - 8
Engine and Tranny 8 (runs as strong as my other vette and shifts a lot
smoother)
Exterior - 8 (looks great, still get comments on the car)
Tires - 10 (just purchased four new tires and had a front end alignment)
Interior - 7 (no rips in seats, they are leather and need a little cleaning)
Mileage - 5 - (about 126,513)
Hardtop - 9 (comes with a hardtop so the car can either be a rag top or a hard top)
Recent Repairs:
1) Front Brakes
2) Had cat's replaced
3) Front end Alignment
Description:
Car is Black on Black with Tan leather interior
Known Problems:
1) Hydraulics for top (it appears two of the hydraulic cyclinders need to be replaced) For a list of hyrdualics [url]
