Default FS: 2001 Superchaged & Methanol 427 Convertible [NJ]

The car is now sold. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the administration and staff of the corvette forum. Although this will be my last thread, I would like to say that during my last 15 years of membership the forum has been a great place to gain knowledge while meeting new friends and enthusiasts.

On a parting shot, I heard the guy below has finally gotten onto the C7R race team

As Bill said, no expense spared including updating things over the years as products evolved. Great seller too, sad to see it go!

Doug,

Thank you so much for your very kind words, but more importantly, thank you for your expertise in helping me build this dream come true of a car. If it weren't for you and Chris, I would never have realized a childhood dream of one day owning a 427 Corvette.

I assume you swapped over to a z06 cluster? If so, how did you get the exact miles on that cluster?

Thanks for your interest. One of the very first things I did was to swap a zo6 face plate onto the original gauges. If you take the time to read through the magazine article from 2006, you'll see the zo6 gauge faces complete with aluminum surrounds already installed. At that time I only had 8700 miles on the car.

Besides that, the car also has fully functional zo6 rear brake cooling ducts, and zo6 springs. Shocks and sway bars were also updated as noted in the Corvette Enthusiast feature article
