FS 2003 50th Anniversary Convertible
price I have this car in another post under WTT. I still would like to trade for a C6 but I have also decided to try and sell it outright.
I want 24,500 for the car. As I said, it is a real 50th Anniversary model convertible with a Automatic transmission. It has a clean CARFAX and according to them, I am either the 4th or 5th owner?
The car is in great shape and has 38,750 miles on it. It had new Goodyears on it when I bought it and I have only driven it 3,000 miles. I have only added black mats "still have the tan ones" a new air filter, new rotor and pads, and a LED in the shifter.
This car started life in Texas and ended up in New Mexico then Tennessee where I bought it from a first time Corvette owner. His wife hated the car because it rode so rough and I have a feeling that the rough ride prompted the other owners to get rid of the car as well
. Thanks to a Forum member, I found out that the shipping "shock stuffers" were never removed by the Dealer. Folks you would not believe how hard this car rode with effectively no shocks! This is a really nice car and I want to sell before I get too many more miles on it.

I took the car to a Dealer today to negotiate a trade for a C6. We could not agree on a price but He offered me $21,000 for my car. He was very proud of His car so we could not deal! The next time I will cement the deal before putting 150 mile on my car! Live and learn!

Word of advice, always negotiate your deal before you tell the dealer you have a trade. He gave you 21, and built 8 into the new one. Dealers are shifty in that way.

Not Quite
Based on my experience in the business, there was at least 5K profit on their car. They were not giving up any of it! Also based on my past in the business, if you do not like the deal "walk away" which I did!

It is a good idea to insert the trade after getting a price on the new car but when you drive 75 miles to a Dealer and He asks if you are trading the car you drove, you are pretty much stuck with your answer. In my case, we already discussed the deal over the phone including my offer of cash plus my car based on their estimate of my cars worth. They did peg my car at their initial phone quote but they did not reduce their car one penny! This amounted to $1500 more than our phone conversation! Had they just told me up front that their price was not negotiable and that they would give me XXX for my car, I would have turned down the deal on the phone. In this case, the Dealer lied to get me on the lot!

Reduce price to $24,500. I put it back on ebay today. I had a request from a bidder regarding the Passenger side and what looks like damage in the picture of that side. It is just a reflection from the plantings on that side of my driveway. The car does have a few spots or dings that a car with 38,000 miles accumulates but Dr Colorchip does a pretty good job on them! I have had 13 Vettes and this is a nice one!

Nice car! I love my 50th and plan on having it for a few more years before I can upgrade like you. Good luck selling your car.

Thanks. This is my 13th Vette and it is indeed the prettiest one that I have ever owned. I want a C6. "I had a 2008 before" and I sold it because the first owner had modded it to the point that I did not enjoy driving it. I do not want to pile miles up on this car. I really want a daily driver and this car is not it!
