Yes the price is $16,000

I recently had to spent $1,100 to replace the A/C compressor and have the system serviced.

Over the past couple of years I had been adding a can of R-134 periodically and adding dye to the system to try to find out where it is leaking. A couple months back I took it in for its annual inspection and asked them once again to check to see if they could find the leak. This time they did, it was the compressor. It has performed flawlessly since replacing the compressor.

To the best of my knowledge it is stock. I have never had to go into the engine or felt the need to. It does have an early CAI on it, I can't recall the brand off hand. I did add an Elite Engineering catch can shortly after purchasing it, which works well by the way. It is the first LS engine'd car I had ever owned, and have been absolutely amazed at the efficiency of it.

In the past (and on my other Corvettes) it has been either, okay fuel economy, (my '85 actually gets about 25mpg ) or great power and poor (at best) fuel economy. The LS-1 in this car has amazing power and still manages 36 mpg on the highway. What's not to like!

Deane, we're about an hour North just off of Highway 17.

My sister finally moved south (from NJ - Philly side of the state) a few years back and lives 35 minutes south of Brunswick Forrest on 17. 90% of her neighbors are from the N.E., many from New Jersey. 20 years ago I returned from overseas to eastern NC and discovered Brunswick County had the lowest per-capita income of the state. Today, it is solid mid-pack, thanks in large part to folks like your friends and their friends, moving south, for a myriad of reasons. The growth in Brunswick Country over the past 20 years has been phenomenal.

The fact that your friends are about 40 minutes north of Myrtle Beach is another good reason to visit. If you do visit, let me know when you'll be here and I'll bring the car down for you to look over. It will be just another excuse to visit my sister.

Good luck... GUSTO

I found a couple of more pictures of the car showing the underside of it, including the Elite Engineering tunnel plate and their air intake screen I installed.
