Want to buy a clean Z06 18k+- with less than 75k miles.
Almost bought one from a member here who messaged me about it but I didn't like that it had 7 owners, the custom vinyl stripes and the mod red interior but it was a good deal and someone bought it before I saw it.
I am in IL and would prefer one in the surrounding states or close but it doesn't have to be.
No yellow.
I am a serious buyer and getting frustrated in my quest to find a C5 or C5Z.

I'm the 2nd owner of this 2004 Z06. It has a few minor mods like a Callaway Honker Cold Air intake and B&B Bullet cat back exhaust. It currently has less than 60,500 miles on it. Needs new tires. Right rear tire has a small wire brad in it that causes me to have to air it up about every three days in order to drive it. New battery a few years ago.Tinted Halo Mod tail lights. Still have originals if you don't like those.
Always garaged. $19,000.

None of the craigslist ones posted in here are what I am wanting but I appreciate Wills effort.
The one in STL is the closest to what I want that he posted but the owner says it idles rough when it's warm. Chicago one has aftermarket hood and quite a few mods. Don't like the rims on the arkansas car and it's far away. Speedway white one posted in here is beautiful but more than I want to spend.
What I do want is black interior. Would settle for mod red for the right exterior color, price/miles/condition/carfax etc. Black, Red, Silver in that order for exterior.
I am on my second set of 25 autochecks and 3rd set of 6 carfaxs.
In short I prefer one with mild/no mods. No exterior mods. Prefer factory rims. Like someone here told me in PM it took them a year to find the one they were looking for. I'm not going to settle on one just to be done with it. And I'm coming up on casually looking for a year and seriously looking for 2-3 months. I check FB, autotrader, cars.com, cargurus, craigslist, ebay and here. I guess I'm too picky.
It's nice to know what you want and to have the patience to wait for it! It took me a year and a half to find the right C6Z. I posted my C5 for sale here, but I'm not sure that I really want to sell it, for the reasons that you're being 'picky'. I know the history and it's been an awesome car which makes it tempting to keep. Maybe I need another garage, lol. In my search for the C6, I remember trying to feel out the current owners: Did they change the oil based on mileage and time, or upgrade/update the power steering fluid (to avoid leaks), was it stored indoors in a heated garage, ect.
The nice thing is that the nice, well kept cars are out there. Good luck!

High number of owners is not anything to shy away from; it's actually fairly common for collector cars like the C5Z. These types of cars often change hands, especially earlier in their lives when owners realize they should sell the expensive toy and pay the debt off. The number of owners has no effect on the quality of the car.
High number of owners can be a positive, as with each new owner there's a renewed interest in maintaining the car, as opposed to long-term owners who may get complacent with the vehicle. Watch this video:

nope you're not, I'm just as picky too..don't settle for anything less than exactly what you want. It's your money and you want to spend it wisely. Nothing wrong with that at all.
