1998 Torch Red Automatic Coupe 68k Miles, 100% Stock
In the last 8 years car was driven 7,400 miles and stored in heated garage, as it is now under a cover in a heated garage for the winter. Engine is 100% stock. From Sep to Oct last year, I replaced the Harmonic Balancer, there was no wobble, just replaced to be safe. Used a Powerbond with ARP bolt, also replaced all drive belts and pulleys ($800 total). Just 200 miles ago installed brand new Borla S-Type II exhaust ($1,200) (have old exhaust) which has zero drone and is not an obnoxious loud exhaust, until you step on it, I did hours of research before choosing this exhaust. Shocks were old so I replaced with new GM C6 Z06 shocks and C6 Z51 front and rear sway bars and links ($650) about 200 miles ago as well. Engine is 100% untouched. Just for looks, I installed Factory Reproduction C6 ZR1 wheels with brand new Falken Azenis 510 summer tires ($1,400), stock sizes. I also have the original chrome wagon wheels and Michelin A/S run flats with 7,000 miles on them, just 7 years old. Tinted windows, red piping blk floor mats ($40) and new car cover ($80). All work performed by a Master Technician.
I bought this car in August last year from a 70 year old man (I am 47) who owned it for 7 years and drove 1,000 miles per year, and stored in his heated garage. I thought I was going to keep the car for many years which is why as soon as I bought it I did all this maintenance, but unfortunately my wife has a medical condition that is forcing the early sale. Any C5 you look to purchase, you will have to put in $2k-3k right off the bat, this car needs absolutely nothing. Surprisingly, there are no rattles, it is extremely balanced, and very smooth. AC ice cold, no oil leaks, etc. The only blemishes is the drivers interior door panel has the infamous leather separation, passenger is fine, and the glass top has the infamous peeling, but not too bad. No other major scratches, gouges, etc. I am located in Park Ridge Illinois, with clear title in hand and receipts for all work performed. 847.250.7653, text preferred. $13,250 or best…reasonable offer.
