2004 Z06 black on black
One gorgeous black on black 2004 Corvette Z06 for sale.
For those of you that don’t already know, the 2004 Z06, partly due to being the last production year of the C5 Z06, is the premium year. Advancements were made for example on the shocks, which are sought after by previous C5Z years and base/convertible owners. The 04Z (as well as the 01, which had less power at 385 HP) also didn’t have the valve spring failures of the 02 and 03 years.
Performance: 405HP, 400 FT LB’s of torque, a 6 speed manual (better tranny gearing than the base models), plus 2 overdrives for an amazing ~30 MPG highway and limited slip 3.42 gears, with a paltry ~3150# weight. The Z06 option had a thinner windshield, titanium exhaust, very light 17” and 18” wheels etc. to help drop the weight around 150# less than the base models. This vehicle can do 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, 1/4 mile in 11.97 and pull over a G on the skid pad completely stock. It has large anti-lock brakes, and a very sophisticated traction control, active handling, stability control system to keep you safe and in control. I added Texas Speed headers, Magnaflow cats, a tune by Texas Speed, and an aftermarket shift **** in the time I owned it. It still takes a top of the line option even on the brand new Camaro, Mustang etc. to beat this car stock (~$70K CAD cars; ZL1 1LE, GT350). The “standard” performance models like the Camaro SS, Mustang GT etc. do not.
Luxury items: leather memory seats/mirrors, etc., HUD (Head’s Up Display), a great Bose stereo (although you might prefer to leave it off as I do most of the time, to listen to the much nicer sounding LS6 motor), power windows, power locks (central locking system), cruise control, dual zone climate control, in-dash CD, 2 Multi-function remotes with keyless entry, 2 keys, night time anti-glare rear view, driver seat power adjustments, anti-theft system/alarm…
This car has only ~83,000 KM's (~52,000 miles), as of placing this ad, and is in very nice condition. I have owned it for just short of 5 years.
Selling because it just doesn’t work with my family life anymore.
Asking $24,500 CAD (around $18,250 USD)

i would be all over this car but the distance from TX and the costs to get it here plus the paperwork to import into the US. May be different since a US made car--its been a while.

And it was originally a US car if that makes any difference (doubt it). You're not alone in the long distance interest... it's a tough call.
