Hey guys,

Long time lurker here, thinking about finally taking the jump into a C5Z. I've been a BMW M guy my whole life and this car is something I've always wanted, just never been able to pull the trigger. With that said I'm ready and looking with cash on hand to buy.

Ideally looking for a 2004 torch red low mileage car. Other colors I may be interested in are millennium yellow and electron blue. Stock is also ideal but would consider some tasteful mods. Figure I'd be in the $20-25k range with this.

Located in Fairfield county Connecticut. Would fly or ship the right car.

By the way- Not dead set on an 04, but it's ideal from what I've read. Figured next best bet is an 03, followed by an 02. Feel free to shed some light if I'm incorrect with this thought.

You're on the right track. The 04 no longer had the valve spring issues (easy fix), and had the better shocks. Apart from that, not a bunch of difference.
I had BMW's for 17 years before my Z, great cars. If I had the cash, there'd be an M in my future.

I'm in Syracuse NY and I have a 2003 Torch Red Z06 with a red and Black interior. All black dash but I have the Red knee bolster and Glove box. Mods include a Dewitts radiator and engine oil cooler.
Vararam,MGW shifter,LS7 Clutch and Tick Slave cylinder.
Pfadt Coil Overs and Sway bars. Tires and Brakes in great shape and steel braided brake lines. Always maintained way better then factory rec.

Also we replaced the valve springs because of the bad batch problem. Better safe than sorry.

56,215 miles

$22,000
