[NJ] 2001 6 speed Vert, triple black, ~600rwhp 19k obo
Well - I've owned this since about 2005, bought it from this very forum as a 100% all original stock car with around 49k miles, it's got ~58k now.
Since then Ive given the car some serious love and attention with very tasteful mods, all done with the best parts and I kept all the original stuff to give to the next owner.
Here are some details -
It has full power options like most C5's as well as Heads up display.
This spring all the filters/fluids/spark plugs replaced.
Mechanical:
Some of the modifications the car has are as follows:
A&A V3si Supercharger kit, new style with the latest air dongle and intercooler, 50mm BOV.
ECS secondary fuel system, new release with the dual connector fuel ring.
Snow Stage 1 Meth Kit for safety, car was not tuned against the Meth.
Deatschwerks 100lb injectors
100mm LS3 MAF
Texas Speed and Performance Torquer V.2 cam kit which consists of:
Torquer V.2 camshaft. 232/234 .598/.598
PRC valve springs (good to .650 lift)
Texas Speed HD pushrods.
New valve seals.
New Texas Speed ported/shimmed oil pump. Excellent oil pressure. Has 40+ pounds pressure at hot idle.
I also added:
New HD LS2 timing chain
Edelbrock 2 piece timing cover so if you ever want to swap the cam, you can do it without removing the rack or balancer!
Yella Terra full roller rocker arms
FAST 78mm intake manifold
Relocated 2 bar MAP and intake temp sensors.
4 Brand new Firestone tires.
LG Motorsports Street series headers with X-pipe and Z06 titanium exhaust.
Last summer The Car had a new Monster Twin Disk clutch and all clutch hydraulics replaced.
New 3.73 gear gear set installed along with new posi clutch packs, HD output shafts, and a new trans brace installed by East Coast Supercharging, 3000 miles ago.
New GM C6 Z06 shifter
Z06 brake cooling ducts using the functional OEM parts, I added all the OEM ducting to apply cold air on the rear brakes, I even kept the rocker cut outs if you ever want to remove them.
When I purchased the car it had a set of chrome Z06 replica rims on it, I replaced them with genuine OEM Z06 speedline wheels. These rims were new take offs and are flawless.
I performed all of the work myself and only top of the line parts were used as well as all genuine GM gaskets to reassemble everything. I am an experienced mechanic and have a full shop at my house.
After all the work was completed I had the car professionally dyno tuned by Rob at RKtuning using the OEM hybrid MAF/MAP system. On his Mustang dyno nicknamed "The Heart Breaker" it showed 551rwhp, it dynoed' 612 on a dynapac hub dyno.
Yes - I have taken it to the track a few times. The car is stupid fast, it traps 129-133 in the quarter mile which is a low 10 second speed.
I have only gone 11's in it because I'm not a fan of beating up my own car or wasting tires, I'm not a "kid racer".
I have all receipts and documentation for the modifications as well as every part, nut, and bolt needed to put the car back to 100% original as well as an extra hood.
The car is very clean and 100% squared away, needs nothing. This is my weekend cruiser and was meticulously cared for and maintained. The body is in good shape with no damage and the paint shines nicely.
Being a black car with 58,000 miles there are some paint flaws however. I'd put the paint at a 7 out of 10, being black the car does have swirls and light scratches that wouldn't show on any other color. The interior is clean and looks awesome, there is some minor wear on the drivers side seat bolster which unfortunately is normal for C5's.
Although I love the car I have been thinking about getting back into an older muscle car like a Chevelle/Nova/Camaro/442 and would consider a trade for a nice clean ProStreet or backhalfed car or maybe even a mint 87 Grand National.
I would even trade up plus cash for a nice C6 ZR1.
Asking 19k, but I am a realist and would be willing to chat about it with anyone interested.
I also have a Caravaggio Corvettes carbon fiber hard top for the car, willing to sell as an additional item to the buyer.
I urge anyone who is interested in the car to come and check it out and bring your mechanic or whoever you might want to look at the car for you. I have a lift and would be happy to show the car to people who are serious about purchasing it. I will not allow the car to leave my property and there will be no test drives unless a deposit and sale are forthcoming.
As with any used, modified car the sale will be "as is" and there are no warranties or guarantees.
Few pics and a video of when I finished up the supercharger.
