Are Napa belts and Gates belts the same?
I just orderedup some spare belts from my local part store and I requested that i need a "gates" belt since they carry goodyear. So when i got the belts they say Napa on them-he said there the same-is this true? This for a A&A SC-I didn't go with goodyear because years ago when I had a blower on my Mustang I found the goodyear gatorback blets would stretch a good bit after while.

YES, the NAPA belts are made by GATES, etc, but the best belt on the market per the experts is the GATES 'GRENN BELT" and I researched this exact issue two weeks ago and here is the response from the EXPERT himself DOUG at ECS, as i wanted to make sure i bought the GATES GREEN STRIPE as my replacement belt for the future!

HERE WAS DOUG'S RESPONSE:
"I later found out that the NAPA belts, although made by Gates, are not the green stripe. BUT, I would not recomend changing it just for that. You can get a new at any auto parts store that carries Gates.(which is most) K060895"

Carquest carries Gates Green Stripe belts. You could also go to www.gates.com and find their distributors in your area via your zipcode.
