Default Help with Twin Turbo Alternator Relocation.

Need a alt. relocation bracket to install on pass. side. Anyone have one or know where I can purchase one for my 02. Any pics of other setups would be helpful if I need to get one made. Thanks.

Didnt that Ebay kit come with all the parts necessary?? You might want to call PTK. I'm sure you can buy one from them. Just dont tell them its a knock off of their kit..They probably wouldn't be to willing to help.

Or, ask one of our resident engineers. They might be able to "Copy" another one and send it to you..

It came with a couple of brackets but I have tried to figure out their intentions and decided to scrub them. I'm going with a different alt. and it's the PTK version. Everything is installed, just waiting for a solution to the alternator. Thanks for the info.

Kit fit fine. I had the headers coated by Chris at FX and he told me they were very competent welds and the material was 321 Stainless. He was impressed with the quality of them, all things considered. Most of the pics are on LS1tech. I will be posting pics here soon on My Photos. Only problem is the alternator relocation. Should have that corrected soon. Exhaust lined right up and no problems bolting everything in place.

Thanks for the info. I just can't go the 4 bills+ for the alternator at this time. If anyone has any suggestions using the stock alternator, feel free to chime in.

Great. LB has a PTK alternator as a spare since he bought the chrome one from you. I could have really used that . I will keep posted on your response. If this doesn't work out, do you know of anyone looking tosella similar alternator that will fit the halltech bracket. Also, is the halltech braket for the passenger side and will it place the alternator far enough away from the top mount turbo header?

Here are the pics. Custom made brakets...will work with stock tensioner (mild clearancing neccesary). Extra pulley is due to the smaller Evans water pump pulley...not needed for stock pump pulley. Alternator is 160 amp output at 250 degrees. Race Proven ND150...made for high performance applications...nascar..etc. 500-600 for the alternator. My brackets will also fit the PTK alternator that comes with the kit..

Tom

Tom, If I go with the halltechbracket and a ND120 will I have to do any other mods. Plan on using the stock tensioner and water pump setup. Is the halltech bracket you have for the pass. side and will it relocate the alternator in the same location as your pics show?

If you use the ND110 alternator with the haltech bracket you eliminate the tensioner...the alternator can rotate and functions as a tensioner..real nice clean setup
