I have a Procharged system and I like the S/C whine. I don’t race on the street and making others wonder how fast it is, is fun. When some kid pulls along side of me and challenges me, I say something like: how much money do you have? Or if he asks how fast, I just say: not sure, but I never lost. So if being noticed driving on the street is a big concern, go buy a Volvo.

Nothing like the sound of a S/C but when it came time to decide i opted for the twin turbo I knew i would get tired of that S/C sound real quick. Guess it probably gets down to wether you want to be noticed or not. I personally like not to be noticed.

Haha well IMO, if you dont want to be noticed the Vette is the wrong car to be driving My Cobra sounded badassm with the whine from the Whipple, but our Z always got way more looks.

In my opinion ,I doubt anyone with a turbo kit will change over to a s/c ... it is was the other way around im sure you would have 50 emails..
the best thing to do is Sell the supercharge kit and then buy A TT kit..

IMO

good luck anyways.

Just driving a vette doesn't get you noticed around here, it seems like everyone and there mother has one these days. I see them all the time when I'm on the road. If thats why you bought your got then you got it for the wrong reasons, IMO.

However, driving one that sounds like this one, anyone with a procharger knows what I'm talking about, does turn heads and stop traffic.

Lately I've been contemplating switching from the F1 procharged setup currently on my Z to a turbo setup. Now don't get me wrong, I love the charistics of a SC. Its kind of like driving around with a full bottle of n2o all the time. The powerband is very linear and the car is predictable and easy to drive (as you can see from the times in my sig).

For me its not really about the power because either setup will produce more then enough power to use on the streets or track. Its mainly that I don't care for all the attention I get when driving around. Everyone can tell the car is blown, I'm always getting people trying to race me and its starting to get annoying. Its almost like walking around with your d!ck out of your pants, everyone stops to look at you. So far to 'tone things down' I've put a set of cats on and some stock Ti mufflers but its still not enough to fool people into thinking its just stock. If this was just going to be a sunny day car or a weekend crusier I wouldn't mind as much and probably would like the attention.

My DD has a turbo and I think my driving style is better suited towards the charistics of a turbo. Its quite and stealthy during normal driving which I like but still able to make power when you put your foot down.

If anyone with a turbo car ever wondered if they like a SC better this might be the oppertuinity for you.

I don't want to do a rear mount setup so I'd really only be interested in either a big single or twin setup. If there is anyone that wants to move to a SC shot me an email and lets talk.
I wish "I" lived near you, I can't get a race if my life depend on it. The only guy here with the ***** to race me is 9.7 @ 143mph and then he is chicken to race from a role.

95% of the people that hear my car think something is wrong with a belt. Most say "Is that whistling common on Corvettes?"

They don't understand.

Biggest difference I've seen between the 2 is torque--turbos have more, but since the tq and more gentle curve of the centrifigal still SPINS the hell out of the tires it's not that important.

I like both/either, but I don't change what has been working for me either. If I started with TT and was trouble free---I'd stay turbo. Since I did it with my procharger, I'll stay SC.

[QUOTE
Who knows what if anything will happen, I'll probably change my mind again next week. Maybe I should just buy another Z and turbo it so I can have the best of both worlds. [/QUOTE]

FWIW People see vettes in a couple of ways, real cool,or, your the enemy, stock or otherwise.i get more aggro when in my z than you could want.heres the thing, sometimes i just dont care, other times
it pi$$es my pride off,and i1m good to go.this is in the uk so people
wouldnt know a k/b from a b/k. it`s a vette and it pi$$es them off.
i think your like me.if you had the time money you would try allsorts of
fi .dont throw away that thought of getting another z,it would allow you to get it out your system, real cool to have a car for the mood your in that particular day.
stealth.i brought a (can i say *ord lightning)14lb boost,i cant tell you how stealthy that is over here.people see truck ,people see rear lights of my truck
sorry to go on ,but i kinda been there, when it`s real good you get the
bug to try something else, only to find you had something real good.
enter 2nd z ,you cant go wrong
i understand there`s nothin like a new project though .
oh to have the time and money right.

Just referring to a SC over a Twin Turbo setup. Don't get me wrong, i do like people to notice my vette. I just get more pleasure out of knowing they don't know
