Mine is in the upper hand side of the windshield against the A pillar....out of sight from the outside but in line of sight for the driver to see diagnostics and warnings. I have WB 02 wired in which is pretty visible while driving
I have a dula guage pillar, upper one is with my SPA Boost/Fule gauge and the lower one has the SBC I-Color mounted to the face of it. Works Perfectly!!

I will send you a pic of mine in the ashtray ,minus your bezel where you do your magic ! I have been waiting to talk to you about a panel,perhaps I could send you some dimensions and we could use my car as a test dummy ? I need to add NOS switches as well as WB calib button so I will figure out exactly and you can tell me what you think.BTW,The SBC fits under the lid,with the ashtray out,and it all closed up,it looks stock.I will post a pic Monday when it comes back from fab shop with its new cage !
