On stock motors they are dogs. That's a fact. No STS car has touched 640rwhp with the stock bottom end on pump fuel while my blower car was doing that with stock heads and without meth.

When you make 800+ at the tires you can come back, until then you're talking out of your ***. Post up those almighty dyno numbers BC.
I was being sarcastic. I was making a joke. I didn't think you were serious. Now I know you are. I'm just going to back slowly away from you without making any sudden moves............

Why is it inferior? I just really want to know why some people hate this kit so much from what i can see its a very cool option to add boost.

Back in '02 we worked on a mid engine Ferrari 308 that had a rear mount turbo. Part of the internals of the catalytic converter had broken loose and shot into the turbo, ruining it. Every now and then we'll have a C5 or C6 on our dyno and we'll see bits of the cats on the ground behind the tailpipes, just make sure that if you go with an STS, take the cats off the car. Bob

Hi Bob,

I had Random High Flow Metal Matrix cats installed on mine. In your opinion/experience have they or can they break up like regular cats? Thanks!

I believe they can. I had those put on when MTI did headers on my car and it took a while but I got a piece lodged on one side where the end split from one to two tips.

This forum sometimes has that nasty, catchy disease called foot in mouth sickness most likely never be a cure. IMO I think overall you would be better off with a supercharger. Price, realiability, fun factor, future tuning and since you stated fun to drive street car you can't beat a blower.

Post your dyno so we non STS guys can have a good laugh.

The point of the thread was for an STS hater like myself to be able to air out what we don't like about them. There is to much work involved to get them to run with the other setups.

I didn't mention the cat issue because I wouldn't run cats with any FI setup.
