Hey Guys...thanks for all the great advice. Cam bolts were locktighted...
Baseline dyno was 385rwhp/376rwtq....now the first pull with the install as they were just sorting and easing everything was.......614rwhp@6500rpm with 510 rwtq... I freaked out big time when I heard the initial results!!!
so everything was stopped and a call went in to Andy for a larger pulley to tame the beast a bit
Being air-freighted in to the shop and will start the dyno and street tuning Mon/Tues...planning on picking her up Wed.....god will Wed. ever come can't wait

robert miller:looks good on the 1st pull and the stock pulley from the kit. now get it too 16 to 20 on the boost gauge. unless you are on a stock bottom end then hold it too 12 on the boost and be safe.. sound like a excellent start
Steve@AandACorvette I was surprised when Larry called and gave me those power numbers
Can't wait for it be finished and get behind the wheel!

As I said above, the LS6 has a stock bottom end. The car is a weekend cruiser and will see some trips down the 1/4 every season.
With a good AND safe tune what kinda "Boost" is good for performance and longevity?
I don't want to get too greedy
Thanks

Hey Guys....Andy and Steve got my new larger pulley out and in the "air" arrived late Monday afternoon. Thanks guys!
On the dyno Tues am...fuel pressure starts dropping a bit at 5100.
Going from the 3.8" to 3.6" got 11psi at 6800 590rwhp
The guys are now tracking down the fuel pressure issue....... it's getting close!
Stock bottom end LS6, I'll have to be gentle

Don't mean to highjack the thread, BUT is it only the Z06 or should I also take off the timing cover and loctite the bolts when I start my intall? I have a 2000 LS1. I just got A used procharger kit from Andy, got a clutch and guages on the way. I did not want to pull my dampener off, but if I have to I wll. I will be right there to pin the crank anyway.

oh, BTW, I haven't done mine yet and haven't had a problem. I also don't take mine to the strip much. Once I get a cam, it will be a "must do".

While it's "preventative medicine" and good to do it on all FI applications, the cam bolts coming loose are more prevalent on the Maggie/KB motors. They put out more torque at lower RPMs. To answer your question directly, it's all LS motors... not just the Z06

Once again the forum has helped me to avoid future damage. As well as the many times it has helped me make repairs and diagnose problems that normal mechanics would never had thought of.
Thank you.

Wish these were out when I did mine. Would be handy in case you ever wanna go back in there to access the cam, and not have to yank the crank pulley and steering rack!
