yes it is not hard if you have hptuners or efilive.

there are literly TONS of posts on here about it and an even bigger (and more technical) thread over at the HPTuners board. I'd start there.

It's 100% doable and depending on what you've done to your motor you may or may not need to move injector sizes.

Well, that's possible. Are you yanking a bunch of timing and/or having detonation problems? Likely unless you have a strong desire to run e85 switching won't net huge gains but with 12:1 you should be able to get some for sure if it's tuned for 91 octane. Unless you understand what e85 lets you do (timing changes etc) you won't gain anything from just scaling your injectors to use it. I'd find a tuner who's had some experiance with e85 and have them do the tune, or tell your current tuner to re-optomize the tune with the understanding that e85 takes more fuel but can be tuned more like race gas due to it's higher octane.

your injector duty cycles will determine if you need more injector, figure 30% more fuel with e85 vs regular gas.

Also for clarification there are a few tuners who have got an actual 'flex fuel' style tune where you can run either e85 or regular, but most of the time you're locking yourself into e85 so make sure you understand that ahead of time.

Hope that helps.

"changing their fuel" isn't likely what's doing it, it's optimizing the tune for the fuel, running more timing, more boost or more compression without the negative side effects of low-octane street gas.

Yep. And a lot cheaper, too.

If you're using this for a racing application I would STRONGLY CAUTION you to remember that e85's ethanol content changes from winter to summer and so does the octane. Where are you located? I'd see if you can get an ethanol plant to sell you some 100% Ethanol and run that as race gas.

Do not put your tune on the ragged edge while tuning with summer blend e85 and then put winter blend e85 into it!!

Good luck in your pursuit for those last tenths- e85 is a very attractive race fuel alternative.
