Default Finally making the upgrade. D1SC ----> F1A! Which pulley combo??

Hi guys,

I'm upgrading to an F1A headunit for my build.

I currently run the 8" pinned crank, with a 3.55" blower pulley on the D1SC.

Do I dare carry over the same combo for something slighly more evil?!?!?!

I also have a 4" blower pulley on hand.

My goals are 825 - 850 rwhp on 94octane with a 50/50 meth. I am upgrading my A&A FFS system to include a Magnafuel pump.

Here is what the old combo did:

Thanks in advance for the advice!

*also, I am adding a twin disc clutch this year.

*I also have a flip drive and one of Andy's new Procharger 8-rib bracket.

At 6,500rpm, the 4.0 pulley would get you 70K impeller RPM (94% of the 74K rated max). You'd be overspinning the blower with the 3.55 pulley (79K).

Go with the 4" first. You'll be overspinning that F1A by around 7k rpm with that 3.55".

Edit--Neil B beat me to it!

Yeah, I've ran the #s a few times in my head and wondered what to do.

3.55" and short shift at 6200 lmao.

3.85 and call it a day.

If you want everydrop you'll need a 4" inlet and a S&B filter.

Forget the 50/50 meth mix-run straight meth.

I was hoping you'd chime in.

This is actually your old F1A; I bought it from Rocco

For the street, I plan on keeping the inlet I have no attached to 'choke it off' a bit. For the track, I have the race screen. We will tune it with the screen for kill-mode and then put the inlet back on for street-use.

I don't want gobs of power....825rwhp and I'm happy. I don't want to run 100% meth just yet. I'm happy with a 50/50 mixture. I'm basically after high 9s on the drag pack.

So I've heard and read!

You wouldn't happen to have a Prochager 3.85" 8-rib pulley laying around for sale would you?
