Anyone use Comp Cams camshafts???
I have always liked Comp Cams camshafts when building Gen I small blocks.
Now I see a lot of people using camshafts from company's that don't even tell you what the specs are. They just seem to know that their special grind is good for everyone. Well, to be fair, these company's offer a few different grinds, but never list specs.
Anywho, Has anyone used Comp Cams?
Any feedback about their experience would be helpful.
My plans are to install a set of ported and milled LS6 heads, adjustable roller rockers, short-travel Comp Cams lifters, and a Comp Cams camshaft. I'm thinking about the LSr style in the 222-232 @0.050" range. Looking for a redline around 7,500rpm.

I run a comp cam. Its a custom grind 226/234 598 601 113 +2. Or its 224/236 I always have problems remembering. Its pretty big for a blower and really isn't to bad to drive around. Video of my car at idle in sig. If I remember right in the vid the idle is a smidge high because its not warmed up all the way yet.

Most companies use Comp Cams even though they won't share the specs with you. If you're running a supercharger system, I don't really see the need to run such high RPM. I would personally rather run more boost and less RPM and feel like it's easier on the motor as a whole to do so.

Wouldn't the tune and dyno determine redline max so your not revving with no added power. Or do some just like to rev high revs just because?
