Houston Nitrous User, Where do you go to fill your bottle?
Hi everybody, this is my first post, but I been viewing this messageboard (very informative) for couple of months now. Just ordered Nos from Jeg, they told me the bottle will be ship empty. So where do you guys get your bottle fill and how much $?
Thanks in advance.
Albert

MTI has a fill station...I believe they charge $3 per lb. You can contact them on 281.870.8787.

I rent a 56 pound nitrous bottle from a local welding store. The rent on the bottle is $20/year and the contents were just under $2.00 per pound. When I run out, I just call 'em and they come out to swap bottles and puts it on my account. The bottle has a siphon tube (you can get them without but you would have to have a stand to invert the bottle in). The 5 foot braided hose, fitting and an in-line filter ran around 80 bucks. I put my 10 pounder in a freezer for a couple hours before filling. I can suck all but about a pound out of the big bottle this way. Saves from having to invest in an actual pump station ($500+). :yesnod: :D

Does a 15lb. bottle fit in the rear compartment well? I'm guessing yes but just figured i'd ask since it would make more sence to get a 15lb. rather than a 10lb. bottle...
Thanks,

A 15 pounder won't fit in the center rear compartment...it's too tall. Those that have them around here install them out in the hatch/trunk area, facing forward. I dunno if there's enough room in your Vert or not to do it this way. You could put it in the well but have it stick out some...you'd have to drill some holes to keep it in place though.
A 10 pounder fits real nice, sideways in the center compartment. Looks like GM had nitrous in mind when they built the car IMO :D
