A&A Kit installed...
This is my first post in the FI section. I've been lurking for a while. I love reading about the different builds happening in here. The C5 runs so smooth at high horsepower levels its amazing. The trained ear might detect a slight whistle, hint of cam, and occasional blow off on my car. I can make most of those noises dissapear by turning up the radio .
After doing heads, cam, intake I was happy with my 98 coupe but wanted more. I used to own a 1988 supercharged mustang. That car was fun but so unrefined. The one thing I missed about it was having boost. Its an addiction. I chose A&A to cure me. Here are a few of my modifications:
A&A Supercharger Kit
2004 alternator bracket
Texas Speed 228R 114LSA Camshaft
PRC Platinum Double Springs
Hardened 7.40” Chromoly Pushrods
Dual Timing Chain Set
LS2 Oil Pump
LS7 Lifters
Taylor Thundervolt Spark Plug Wires 10.4mm
LS6 Intake Manifold
BBK 80MM Throttle Body
Racetronix Boost-A-Pump
Walboro 255 LPH Fuel Pump
PRC Stage 2.5 Cylinder Heads
TPIS Long Tube Headers
Pro Flow X-Pipe & High Flow Catalytic Converters
B&B Tri Flow Sport Mufflers
3.90 Rear Hardened Axles
C6 Z06 Shocks
New end links (metal)
Z06 Clutch
MGW Race Shift ****
B&M Short Shifter Box Bushings
Amsoil synthetic fluids
Tonight was my first night to really enjoy the new A&A kit. We've been going easy on it, tuning, making sure everything is in check. The car is making 9PSI and the RPM's are limited to 6,300. I won't be shifting above 6,200. The car was tuned with HP Tuners to run rich. AFR's look good. My goal is to enjoy the current setup for the rest of summer and go forged in the winter. I have a 383 in the works
I do not have dyno numbers at the moment. My tuner said it is somewhere north of 600 whp. He offered to put it on the rollers but I might wait till the forged setup is finished. Right now I'm looooving this car. The blower added so much torque everywhere. I can feel a big change starting at 2,500 rpms. It runs smooth as silk until I get on the gas. At 3k rpms I'm smiling. At 4k rpms my head is pinned to the seat. Between 4k and 6,300 rpms I'm laughing and wishing I could do this all day. So much fun.
Big thanks to Nick Yoskin (BAM BAM) for tuning and letting me use his garage. Corey Cooper for installation (lots of long hours after work), Texas Speed (great customer service), and A&A Corvette.

Thats me! Thanks for the awesome price! Everything worked out great. Finally got around to having it installed.
I'm hoping the clutch gets me through summer (trying not to slip it too much). I don't do a lot of holeshots so I might be OK. If it goes I'll look for a twin disk.
If anybody has a bulk head assembly (fuel pump, hangar, etc) from a 1997 to early 2003 please send me a PM. I'm looking to do a dual pump setup.

Congrats on the new power.
I'm looking to go F/I myself, I have got as far as a small blower cam,
double springs, yella terra lifters and LG headers.
I live in Warminster also, ill look for you around town.
I have a 01 z06.

Are you going to dyno it? I have a very similar setup, until the stock engine spun a bearing. I landed up replacing the short block with a 402 and have a bit more compression than I would like with the stage 2.5 heads.
BTW - which 2.5 heads, the 5.3 or LS6 head?

I have the LS6 version. My compression is pretty high. I don't think I'll be putting it on the dyno. My main concern was getting a safe tune with plenty of fuel. If I get the numbers I'll let you know but most likely waiting for the forged setup so I can up the boost and RPM's. I can say it feels faster than my 88 mustang that ran mid 11's in the quarter.

You'll love it! I had a passenger reach for the grab bar while screaming a bit. I was only pushing 5 pounds!

That is nice to read!! I virtually have the same motor setup, 228R cam, stage 2 heads, etc, and have been wanting to ditch my 150 plate kit for an A&A V3 kit really bad!! Might have to start a slush fund to do so!!
Enjoy the new setup!!

I've been driving the car a lot lately and its always a blast. Having boost makes the whole driving experience more fun. Watching gauges, blow off sounds, its all good. I love how it feels tame under 2,500 rpms then goes into beast mode above that. Too much talking time to go drive
