Hello I have a 2000 6 speed c5. I would like to put a supercharger on it over the winter my ? Is if i don't race my car or drive it crazy do I need to do anything else to it. What I'm looking for is 450 HP just to have I've had my car about 2 years and have smoked the tires once I don't beat on it at all just want to beef it up a little any advice would be appreciated the car has 81k on it and runs great right now it's absolutly stock.
Just put a A&A base kit in her everything you need comes in the kit and you will have more than enough power safe power your motor can handle it. the kit is like 5500.00 you can install it yourself or spend 6500.00 and get a local shop to do the work for you. I love A&A heres a link to what you need to get!!http://www.aacorvette.com/supercharg...products_id=81
That's the kit I'm planning on getting don't know if I trust anyone around here to put it in though gonna have to do some research to find a good installer in Wisconsin or northern il.

Your best bet would be to talk to A&A and ask them who they would recommend to install their kit. My guess would be to go to Northern IL.
Speed Inc, Straight-line Performance to name a few!

Best bet is going to be to drive down to northern IL. We have some good distributors in IL. You can find them on our website here: http://www.aacorvette.com/superchargers/aa_dealers.php
If you have any questions about our kits or installers feel free to give us a call.

one thing to keep in mind, when you install the new injectors you will need to have car tuned before you run it all. But you will need more tuning then that to get it running good. To get it installed and tuned.. i don't think you can beat the deals out there to have someone do this for you! Good Luck... the HP afterwards is a LOT of fun. I paid more to have mine done, and did a lot of the work myself!
Go with A&A. You'll have a blast until you smoke the stock clutch.
Budget for a new clutch and rear tires. Up above the Pine Curtain you won't be able to drive it for more than a few more weeks anyway so you may be able to wait with this until next Spring.
Also, not included in the A&A kit is a Kenne-Bell Boost A Pump, you may end up needing one (I did) or want to add one just in case the included LPE fuel pump can't handle the load. They're around $300. Personally, I'd add it when the S/C install is done.
