Default Dual DW pumps in RSI Hanger...

A few people have asked about if this is possible and what needs to be done to make it happen. Well it is possible and if anyone would need help or have any questions i'm pretty much an expert on it at this point....

It doesn't take a whole lot to make it work just some simple changing around and a couple extra hands to hold the pumps when you tighten everything up

Hey thanks man, and thanks for your help you doing it was my inspiration

Basically all that needs done is reversing the positive and negative wires in the connector as they are opposite from the walbro pumps. And I also had to extend the rubber feed lines going from the pumps to the hanger.

Other than that two of these filter socks and your good to go (thanks to Brett for the link who found them for me)

I was told it's not possible. My understanding is the pumps draw to amperage for the factory wiring.

i think the RSI kit uses its own wiring sort of like a hot wire kit so no actual power is used from the stock harness. and it replaces all the wires through the bulkhead(much thicker wire i believe)

i think that case applies more to loonies setup where the stock wiring is utilized.

They both use the same setup-the use the factory harness to trigger the pump and use a seperate harness like a Hot wire harness. Maybe I'm wrong-I think this would be a good question for Jack@Racetronix.

Interesting... I would like to know thats for sure...

I called RSI several times to talk about this and left messages for Will but never heard anything back from anyone... So i dunno trail and error I guess. It would be nice for RSI or racetronix to chime in...

Its cool man anything is better than nothing...

Are you having any voltage issues with this set up in your car? From what you had told me before its working pretty smoothly right?

you are correct they use the stock harness which turns on the relay which has a thick cable connected to the batter and straight to the pumps. So really the stock wiring is only a trigger switch it does not see the amp that the pumps are drawing. That is the main purpose for the relay. But I do think a thicker hotwire cable should be used

I was planning on swapping out my twin walbros for twin Deatschwerks pumps and didn't anticipate problems. I have the racetronix harness so I'm sure that helps.

I just got out of the dyno I have ID2000@43 base fuel pressure. Using the RSI twin with the walbro and I am only at 56% IDC. Car made close to 700. I can't wait to build and see how far I can go with the walbro before the start dropping fuel pressure

How more power are these supposed to support versus the walbro 255lph pumps?

In the import scene they are using a single dw 340 pump to make 600-650rwhp on e85. Dual dw pumps should easily be good for 1200rwhp on e85 and I would guess or so on 93.....

Keep us updated. Triple pumps don't really fit into our tanks, so this is a nice way to get to that power level.
