Damn those were forged pistons that cooked in the #5/7 holes? Did you find the cause?

Yes it was Detonation at the 1/4 mile track when my tune was Meth dependent, the pump seal broke and drained out the Meth and as I went down the track it Detonated

Now I am not Meth dependent with my twin fuel pumps, Meth will be introduced for safety and cooling!

Thanks,Matt

WHY? with a post by CARTEK on the flip-drive and a extremely similar set-up to mine and a 3.4" they were seeing 22 PSI of Boost when the belt snapped and no slip -

And when I was having mine Dyno'd with the 3.4" and Pushing water with two pistons missing pieces exposing the top ring, it was hitting 16.5 PSI of Boost at 5400 RPM

So kinda doing a little in-between guessing with the current set-up, I believe it will be in the 17-18 PSI of Boost range.

Thanks,Matt
Good to know, I am running a 3.5" with an IW balancer on a 383 with stock LS6 heads and 10.4:1 compression. We were thinking we could hit around 15, but we were seeing some signs of slip. I have a new belt to install and we will do a few other things.

Glad to see your build about done!

I got an engine light today on the way home P0327 Front Knock Sensor - When I look back and looking at the HELMS Manual it says to Torque them to 15 ft lbs and "IF" they are "OVER TIGHTENED" you will get that code as well or low voltage - I remember that I set my my TQ Wrench wrong on those and was supposed to loosen and reset it to the proper torque, but neglected to do so, so I'll pull the manifold and redo them this week - Arrrgh!

Other than the above mentioned, and now also needing a new power steering pump pulley, (dang piece of plastic crap broke today too) all is good!

On the way to work all went real smooth as I drived normal varying the speeds. On my way home from work I varied the RPM's as well and was cruising at 70 MPH with the cruise control when the Check Engine Light came on and actually shut the Vette down, due to the P0327 code - once all calmed down and I checked everything out, I got it started after a couple of tries and again it ran super tight and smooth, although the code P0327 came back again and again.

The motor feels so good but I am really taking it slow and easy and am going to put a minimum of 500 miles on it (started this morning with 99399, so at 99899 and "IF" all is still going perfect, then it will be on to do the tuning on the Dyno.

Thanks,Matt

DEWITTS Radiator = YES! it does make a huge difference by far, the extra row and being "ALL" aluminum helps bigtime - I would not do it any other way!

Thanks,Matt

I have twin intercoolers so that is not why!

That is the way it was done before they had the 2" shorter radiator to enable you to take your intake tube over the radiator for fresh cool air and before the had the Dongle from A&A

Thanks,Matt
